Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of the honey bee. Together with beekeeper Michael you will open a beehive at one of his traveling stands, watch the watch the busy little bees at work and learn learn all kinds of interesting facts about them. The crowning glory is a tasting of various honey of various honey products. Photographs and videos may be taken at the event for the purpose of documenting and promoting the event and the area. Michael Höllrigl’s expressive stone and bronze sculptures will adorn the gardens of the Kränzelhof in 2025, true to his motto “The hand knows more than the head.” “Letting you dream on and on” is the goal of the sculpture exhibition. From Staben we follow the beautiful Schnalser Waalweg below Schluss Juval via Tschars to Kastelbell Castle. This path leads along the longest and most important watercourse in the Venosta Valley. Built in 1872/73, the irrigation canal with its strong water flow is still used today to irrigate many cultivated areas in the valley. We stop off at an inn in the middle of the vineyards above Kastelbell and then return to Staben. Walking time: approx. 4 hours Altitude difference: 150 m Difficulty: easy

An Independent State of South Tyrol - Illusion or Plausible Scenario? Just over one hundred years after the annexation by Italy, this book examines in detail for the first time the idea of an independent South Tyrolean state. A group of scholars, professors, authors and other specialists - with divergent positions on independence - have been working intensively on the subject for several years. In this endeavour they were assisted by local and international experts as well as a scientific committee that accompanied the entire project. In the present book, the result of their research is published for the first time. The possible steps to found a new state are described in an understandable, simple and clear manner. It is a detailed analysis of the advantages, risks and requirements as well as the different strategies that can be applied. The book provides an overview of the issues involved and is intended to stimulate discussion on an objective basis.

Fancy a varied hike where you can discover the secrets of nature? You'll learn lots of interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the Texelgruppe Nature Park. Our guided hike starts in Moos/Moso and takes you via the idyllic villages of Pill and Platt/Plata. You will discover impressive natural wonders such as the glacier mill and the Stieber waterfall - huge relics from the Ice Age that have left their mark on the landscape. The way back takes us back to Moos. You will be accompanied by a trained nature park guide, who will provide fascinating insights along the way: which plants grow here? How does the landscape change throughout the year? Which animals are native, and how do humans and nature share this space? The tour is part of a series of nine guided hikes through the Texelgruppe Nature Park - each with a different destination, each path offering new perspectives. Belinda Kazeem-Kamiński's Aerolectics investigates, through an unprecedented series of works, the origins and spread on the African continent of the European Catholic missionary system and its relationship with the contemporary world. The artist explores the intertwining of history and the present, looking at the removals in collective memory in particular in relation to the African context. With a multimedia and immersive journey, made up of voids and solids, voices and silences, in which objects, narratives, sounds and images follow one another, Kazeem-Kamiński traces and investigates the experience of blackness in Europe, as perceived by the white gaze. With an autoethnographic approach and adopting a polyphonic and multimedia narrative, Kazeem-Kamiński also looks at the role played by the missionary system in South Tyrol in relation to stories of the African diaspora.

With their extensive knowledge of herbs, they explain how to safely identify spring and summer herbs and how to harness the power of plants in cooking, health, and skincare. E-Bike Tour – Freiberg - Merano Our Freiberg Tour begins in Algund. From there we ride along the signposted cycle track into Merano. In the spa town we ride along various side streets in the old town and soon reach the cycle track that leads into the Passeier Valley. At Lazag we leave the cycle track and reach the lovely Merano district of Obermais, from where we cycle in the direction of St. Georgen as far as Goyen Castle. Next we cross the Naif Valley and reach the Freiberg, where a fabulous view of Merano awaits us. We then cycle along Panoramastrasse to the Rauthof wine tavern, where we take a well-deserved break. The return journey is via a lovely route back down into Merano and then on to Algund. Participation at own risk. Difference in altitude: 650 metres

Would you like to learn more about the crunchy all-rounder apple? Then a guided apple tour through the orchards is just the thing for you. Our fruit farmer will accompany you and tell you everything you need to know about this diverse fruit. As a culinary conclusion, you can expect a tasting of delicious apples and apple juice. The guided tour will be in German.

The sensation of cold water, walking barefoot on various surfaces, breathing and mindfulness exercises are just a few elements you will experience on this journey through the teachings of Kneipp. Together with Christine, a Kneipp and mindfulness trainer, the hike begins at the Algund Tourism Association with a cold arm bath. Afterwards, she will lead you to the "Grabbach-rivulet" where your feet will come in touch with the ice-cold water. Targeted exercises stimulate circulation and promote blood flow. Then, you will continue barefoot to the Blumenthalerhof, where you will once again come into contact with ice-cold water in a large Kneipp basin. Maria, the host, will surprise you with a healthy herbal lemonade and a snack made from fresh herbs. A day for you and your well-being awaits, and you will notice that the interplay between nature and water has an immensely soothing effect on the body.

Every Tuesday, bike guide Markus takes us from Hafling on an e-bike over the Tschögglberg. On forest and woodland paths, we first ride via the Moschwald Alm and Maiser Alm up to the E5. The route is a little bumpy here and, with a little patience and the right technique, leads up to the Kreuzjöchl. From where we have a breathtaking panoramic view of South Tyrol's mountains. Along the way, there are always tips and hints for mountain biking in the terrain. Nice photo stops are also planned. Easy to moderately difficult e-mountain bike tour. All dates and tour suggestions are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or illness! Helmets are compulsory on all guided tours. They can be booked free of charge.

Every Tuesday a shuttle takes you to the Schartegg car park on the Tscharser Nörderberg mountain. There is the starting point for wonderful hikes to the different alpine pastures. Mountain bikers can explore the new bike area of Nörderberg mountain starting from the Schartegg car park. Limited booster seats for children are available. Dogs are transported only on request and with muzzle. The return journey must be booked separately.
