The South Tyrol CleanUP Days are entering their third round - for the first time on the Tschögglberg!
Whether alone, with friends, family or work colleagues: Choose your route, pick up a free CleanUP kit and enter your route on the interactive map. The result is a digital map full of commitment to a clean future. The three tourism associations from the Tschögglberg (Hafling-Vöran-Meran 2000, Mölten, Jenesien) have joined this campaign for the first time. There are also 13 other destinations throughout South Tyrol - from the Seiser Alm to the Ahrntal. Many hotels, businesses, cable cars and tourism professionals are taking part and sending out a signal for more responsibility in tourism.
The South Tyrol CleanUP Days are part of the PATRON CleanUP Tour 2025, a supra-regional environmental initiative that operates in the German- and Italian-speaking Alpine region from spring to autumn.
The event is backed by a strong network: in addition to IDM Südtirol, PATRON e.V. and the participating tourist destinations, the Provincial Department of Nature, Landscape and Spatial Development, the South Tyrolean Nature Parks, the South Tyrolean Alpine Association AVS and the Raiffeisen Association South Tyrol also provide support. The roots of the project lie in the working group of tourism associations for the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site, whose commitment has since inspired many other regions.
The event is supported by the Merrell Fund and other regional and national partners.
This is how it works:
1) Pick up a free CleanUP kit at one of the distribution points
2) Register and enter your route (patron-nature.org/suedtirol)
3) Hand in your collected rubbish at one of the collection points
By registering, you automatically take part in the competition.
Together we create awareness for a sustainable future - join in and be part of the movement!

Each year, the Merano Music Weeks offer visitors the chance to hear outstanding classical concerts, mostly in the evocative Art Nouveau atmosphere of the Merano Kurhaus.
Majestic, breathtaking and uniquely beautiful, the Dolomites are a work of art created by nature. The Pale Mountains will be the focus of an exhibition marking the 40th anniversary of the Südtirol Festival Merano. Inspired by the stone heart of the world, composer Rachel Portman, photo designer Ursula Stingel and photographer Georg Tappeiner have created a symphony of images and music.
Four aerial photographs by Georg Tappeiner reveal archaic views of the mighty Dolomites, while four macro photographs by Ursula Stingel offer a glimpse of their smallest segments. Inspired by these images, Oscar-winning Rachel Portman has created a musical tribute to the Dolomites commissioned by the Südtirol Festival Merano.
The exhibition will also feature other photographs by Ursula Stingel and Georg Tappeiner, also dedicated to images of the Dolomites, which will be on display to the public for the first time.

Evening concerts of the Musikkapelle Partschins – traditional band in South Tyrol.
Whether traditional marches and polkas, classic overtures or modern pieces of music, the Musikkapelle Partschins is a genuine listening experience for young and old!
Beginning: 8.30 p.m. at the garden of the house of community.
The photographic project by Viviana Perghem and Camilla Poli was developed in collaboration with painter Italo Bressan, creating a synergy between photography and painting. Opening: Friday 12/09/2025 – 6pm – In-depth analysis of the artistic journey with art historian and curator Federico Mazzonelli. The photographers chose to document the different forms of colour blindness — visual anomalies mainly due to genetic causes — which involve an alteration in colour perception. The photographic work analyses the three main types of colour blindness:
● Protanopia (insensitivity to red)
● Deuteranopia (insensitivity to green)
● Tritanopia (insensitivity to blue, purple and yellow)
The stories of six people affected by these conditions are told through images that describe their daily lives. Photographic post-production techniques are used to simulate the perception of colours by those affected by colour blindness.

"Boom '70" takes you back to a time of upheaval and economic growth in South Tyrol during the 1970s and 1980s. Modern travelers now arrive by car, reaching even more remote regions. The number of overnight stays explodes, rising from ten to twenty million – mass tourism is here.
In the exhibition, contemporary witnesses share stories of the clash between contrasting worlds: industry meets tourism, poverty meets prosperity, church meets bikini. It’s about first encounters with strangers, new roles for women, and friendships across borders – but also about stress, construction frenzy, and tough working conditions.

Michael Höllrigl’s expressive stone and bronze sculptures will adorn the gardens of the Kränzelhof in 2025, true to his motto “The hand knows more than the head.” “Letting you dream on and on” is the goal of the sculpture exhibition.
Whether it’s nearly untouched wilderness or an enchanting cultural landscape, gardens represent the longing for paradise: Tamed nature and untamed inner worlds meet and perhaps grow together. In a place shaped by the interplay of nature and culture, like the Kränzelhof, the things of nature and the things of art point to each other in a way that echoes Joseph von Eichendorff’s immortal line from the poem “Wünschelrute”: “A song sleeps in all things, which dream on and on...”

Our Packraft - Tour homerun (difficulty level medium) is something for adventurous water rats who want to test themselves and conquer the Adige river in their own boat. With action, fun and assertiveness, we master rapids, go around obstacles and relax on calm passages.
Accompanied by one of our qualified guides, the tour begins at our rafting base in Rabland/Rablà, where the equipment is handed out. With bag and baggage we go to Ciardes/Tschars.
Arriving at the boat entrance, we unpack our packrafts (inflatable kayaks) and pump them up.
As soon as all the kayaks are ready, there is an introduction to the paddling technique and a detailed safety briefing.
Shortly after, we're off into some extraordinary, splashing water fun.
Safety:
Only a safe experience is a lasting one. That's why our guides are highly trained. We also make no compromises when it comes to equipment. It is up to date and meets all required standards.
