Noble residences, picturesque alleyways and historical monuments shape the villagescape of Partschins. The living traces of the Via Claudia Augusta, the life story of Peter Mitterhofer, the inventor of the typewriter, and much more interesting knowledge are vividly conveyed during this guided tour.
This extraordinary tour offers not only an unforgettable nature experience but also numerous health benefits. The cool night air and gentle movement strengthen the immune system, while the pure mountain air, whose high quality has been confirmed by studies from the Technical University of Munich, is particularly beneficial for the respiratory tract. The soothing sound of the waterfall and the nocturnal atmosphere promote mental recovery and stress reduction.
The moderate ascent gently supports heart and circulation. Moreover, the combination of movement and fresh air can positively influence metabolism and help alleviate metabolic disorders. Last but not least, nighttime activity in nature can improve mood and regulate the sleep-wake rhythm, which can be particularly helpful for seasonal depression. A boon for the lungs, balm for soul and senses.
Measured movement combined with targeted climate exposure and expert guidance for endurance and thermoregulation training lead to relaxation and recovery, but also to hardening and strengthening of the immune system.
The approximately two-hour night hike leads from the center of Partschins through orchards and deciduous forests to the impressive Partschins waterfall. The path covers about 430 meters in altitude.

As the saying goes, “there is a herb for every ailment.” And that without water there would be no life, is as true for the Earth as it is for mankind. So what could be more appropriate than to use the power of nature and the elixir of water as a beneficial combination for greater strength, health and wellbeing?
Discover the numerous, often inconspicuous herbs by the wayside with our expert and learn all about their healing power and effects on our herb & water walk. At the same time familiarise yourself with the different forms and possibilities (there are over 120!) for partaking of the famous Kneipp cure.
Father Sebastian Kneipp’s water therapy gets the metabolism and circulation moving and demonstrably strengthens the body’s defences. In addition, it also helps with numerous chronic illnesses and nervous complaints such as headaches, migraines, sleep disorders, allergies, stubborn infections, stomach and bowel problems, and inner turmoil.
The place and setting where the findings of Father Kneipp are put into practice is as special and impressive as the treatments themselves and the effect of the herbs and plants.
Thanks to the sunny location, the mountain season starts earlier in Naturns than elsewhere. We open the new season on the Merano High Mountain Trail together with the mountain farmers of the Naturnser Sonnenberg mountain. The mountain farmers provide rare insights into their lives, traditions and everyday life. Another highlight is the culinary offer. The Sonnenberg mountain inns and farm taverns will spoil you with tasty dishes from the region.
