The rangers will take a spotting scope with you: a look at the natural features of our nature park and perhaps even spot some animals! With them, you can explore various aspects of nature. They can be found at the entrances to the nature park every Thursday in July and August. Breathtaking views of the surrounding Dolomites are offered by this rewarding hike through the Val de Chedul. Starting point is the Active & Events office in Selva di Val Gardena. The trail first leads through the village and then - past the enchanting St. Sylvester‘s Chapel - into the marvellous Vallunga, before you follow the turnoff to the right up into the Val de Chedul. The untouched nature and the impressive scenic beauty invite you to take a rest before starting the descent to Selva di Val Gardena via Passo Cir, Passo Gardena and the Plans de Frea. It is also possible to return to Selva di Val Gardena by bus or cable car.

An unforgettable mountain experience for gourmets and nature lovers: take the Rosskopf cable car and the panorama lift up to 2,200 m to the legendary wishing bell. Once rung, it carries your wishes over the peaks of the Alps.

Return via a leisurely hiking trail to the mountain station.

The day hike starts at the Passo Costalunga and leads into the rock labyrinth beneath the Latemar mountain. The mystical labyrinth invites you to discover special stone formations, leads you up stone steps through rock gates and forces you to climb through this wonderful rocky landscape. Ratschings/Racines, Sterzing/Vipiteno and environs
From the parking lot in the village Obertelfes (1,300 m), follow trail no. 5 to the Freundalm alpine hut (1,735 m). Continue along trail no. 5 and then switch to trail no. 6, which becomes steeper, leading to the Ochsenscharte. From there, trail no. 23 takes you across rocky terrain to a ridge, where a short chimney section with a rope-assisted passage (note: this is not a via ferrata) brings you to the summit of Telfer Weißen (2,588 m). From the top, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Ridnauntal Valley and the surrounding mountain ranges.
The return route mostly follows the same path, with a short detour to the Ochsenalm and Kuhalm alpine huts, where you’ll find opportunities to stop for food and rest. Trails 5B and 5 then lead back to the parking lot.

The circular hike starts from the hiking starting point in Unser Frau in the direction of Mastaun Alm. After an ascent of around 2.5 hours, you reach the Mastaunpichele with its summit cross (2,285 metres above sea level).
