Biennale Gherdëina 9: Film Program Screening Program Curated by Lorenzo Giusti, Alice Labor, Marta Papini Biennale Gherdëina and the MUSE – Museum of Sciences in Trento collaborate to create a series of screenings of artist films that expand the perspectives of the biennial by offering alternative narratives and interspecies alliances, moving beyond the categories of animate and inanimate, organic and inorganic, human and animal. Noor Abuarafeh (Palestine, 1986), Liv Bugge (Norway, 1974), Jumana Manna (USA/Palestine, 1987), Maeve Brennan (United Kingdom, 1990), Yalda Afsah (Germany/Iran, 1983), Caterina Erica Shanta (Germany/Italy, 1986) explore the wild, the complexities of the Anthropocene, and the ecological crises of our times through moving images, with critical and poetic gazes, showing other possible visions of a layered time that ranges from mountains to rivers, from villages to museums. The ascent begins with a somewhat steep climb through the cool forest. We then enjoy a relaxed hike through the quiet side valley, which offers an idyllic atmosphere with its alpine flair, horses and cows. During the hike, participants experience nature up close and with all their senses. The babbling of a small stream invites you to feel the real summer freshness and enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings. It is a wonderful opportunity to escape from everyday life, admire the beauty of nature and can help us to calm down and feel ourselves again. After the hike, a cozy stop at Manfred's rustic alpine hut awaits us. It is the perfect end to an eventful day in the mountains that is good for body, mind and soul alike.

We start in Maiern in front of the Rent and Go bike rental in the direction of Bergl, go past the birthplace of the Ridnaun giantess and on to the Martalm. From there we cycle along the forest road to the Gewingesalm. After a little refreshment continue to cycle to Entholz and along the Erzweg back to the starting point.

A hidden gem in the dolomites, where enchantment meets nature La Val is the most characteristic and peaceful village of Alta Badia. Situated on the meadows overlooking the Sas de Pütia, here you can still breathe the rural air that once hung over the entire Dolomites. Alta Badia will host the start of the Lavaredo 80K, Saturday 29 June 2024 at 7 a.m.. The village of La Val will welcome the thousand participants of the "La Sportiva Lavaredo Ultra Trail by UTMB®", who will cover the 80 km with 4600 metres of positive altitude difference to arrive in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The Fanes-Senes-Braies and Puez-Odle Nature Parks, declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009, frame the area and are a paradise for those who want to experience unspoilt nature in all seasons of the year. The village of La Val, this year's starting point for the Lavaredo 80K, is renowned for its authenticity and tranquil atmosphere, ideal for those who want direct contact with the Dolomites. Here you can admire the traditional Ladin architecture, with the characteristic 'Viles', in which the ancient inhabitants used to live. Bib pick-up for guests staying overnight in Alta Badia: Friday 28 June from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the event hall in La Val, in San Senese 14 street. The annual SCHLOSS GAUDI music festival promises once again a unique experience between the ancient walls of Prösels Castle. Solo artist Medea Hinteregger from Brixen will open the evening with her unmistakably deep and soulful voice. This is followed by two young up-coming music groups: The seven-piece psychedelic rock band BlindApex and the alternative pop formation But Beautiful. This year, the hottest boy band from the Sciliar region will also be performing for the first time: Fratelli Stonati. This year's main act will be the Bolzano punk band Cemetery Drive. As in the previous year, the boy group Scamige Buben will round off the evening with their unique rap songs. Fee: € 17,00

On our commemorative hike, we follow the traces of the flight of 1947, crossing the Krimmler Tauern and hiking to Kasern in South Tyrol/Alto Adige. The hike leads through high alpine terrain up to an altitude of 2,634 m. The pure walking time is approx. 8 hours. Appropriate physical condition, weather protection, drinksand snacks are required! Alternatively, two shorter variants are possible, which are less strenuous and turn round and go back the same way before crossing the pass. Please note that you have to decide on one of the options when registering and that no last-minute changes are possible, as we have to plan the respective transfers with taxis and buses in advance.

Choral singing has been heard in St. Pauls for centuries. The extensive choir archives bear witness to this, even though much was cast aside as "unworthy" during the era of Cecilianism. The repertoire ranges from Gregorian chorales to the timbres of the modern age, singers follow the facial expressions and hand signals of the respective choirmasters and frame the liturgical celebrations from Christ the King to 1 Advent.
