Get up early to enjoy the peace of morning while out hiking. What could be better than enjoying the peace and quiet of morning in the mountains?
During the guided hike from St. Zyprian to the Tschafon mountain hut, a breathtaking view of the Rosengarten massif and the surrounding Dolomites awaits you. In the cosy family-run Tschafon mountain refuge you will enjoy a special mountaineer breakfast with regional products from South Tyrol, before the hiking guide Michaela takes you back to the starting point.
If you want to enjoy the spring nature a little longer, you can extended the tour to the cross on the Völsegg Peak/Monte Balzo (approx. 25 min) and hike than back to St. Zyprian.

Experience an unforgettable hike in the company of gentle llamas!
These calm and sensitive animals are wonderful companions and make the adventure truly special. Together with the hiking guide, the journey starts from Moos/Moso to Ulfas, where the llamas and their owners are waiting. On a leash, you lead your llama along the Ulfas Waalweg trail to the Ulfaseralm hut, where a relaxing lunch break awaits before returning together and saying goodbye to your four-legged companions.

In this concert series, the stage is transformed into a small, intimate workshop where children can experiment with using their voices as instruments. Through listening, movement and interaction, the children become the true protagonists of the experience. Through song and dance, they can try their hand at creating their own concert, discovering the joy of music for themselves.

On May 10 2026 Naturns invites you again to the South Tyrolean Speck Day.

Enjoy innovative bacon dishes in a great ambience: children's program, music, as well as a small market around the South Tyrolean bacon.

The event starts at 10:00 a.m. at the town hall square in Naturns and takes place in any weather.

Our Packraft - Tour homerun (difficulty level medium) is something for adventurous water rats who want to test themselves and conquer the Adige river in their own boat. With action, fun and assertiveness, we master rapids, go around obstacles and relax on calm passages.

Accompanied by one of our qualified guides, the tour begins at our rafting base in Rabland/Rablà, where the equipment is handed out. With bag and baggage we go to Ciardes/Tschars. Arriving at the boat entrance, we unpack our packrafts (inflatable kayaks) and pump them up. As soon as all the kayaks are ready, there is an introduction to the paddling technique and a detailed safety briefing. Shortly after, we're off into some extraordinary, splashing water fun.

In the Passeiertal Valley, you'll follow the tracks of deer and chamois with experienced hunters and learn to read the signs of nature. The hunters explain how hunting has been part of nature conservation since the 19th century and helps maintain the ecological balance.
At the end, enjoy a delicious breakfast at Prantacher Alm hut.

How is a delicious mozzarella made?
During a visit to Wegerhof farm in Stuls/Stulles, you'll get exclusive insights into the making of the Passeiertal Valley "white gold" and see firsthand how fresh milk becomes flavorful mozzarella.
Afterwards, we'll taste the mozzarella and other farm-made cheeses. Energized by the tasting, we’ll set off on a walk along the Sonnenrundweg trail in Stuls/Stulles, enjoying the views over the Passeiertal Valley.

Did you know that the Passeiertal Valley was once home to noble rulers?
Our historical walk begins in St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo at the tourist information office. From there, we stroll to the parish church dedicated to St. Leonhard. We then continue to Jaufenburg Castle, the former ancestral seat of the Counts of Passeier, who ruled this area in the 13th and 14th centuries. Inside the museum tower, centuries-old frescoes illustrate the life of this noble family. Just below, we visit the Heilig-Kreuz-Kapelle (chapel), completed in 1531. We stop at the Brückenwirt brewery, where refreshments await us before we return to the starting point.

During the Weeks of Culinary Delight by Bike, you can join numerous guided bike tours to meet local producers around Schenna and Merano – from traditional wineries and fruit cooperatives to small cheese dairies, distilleries, and family-run farms.

The focus is not only on the scenic routes but above all on immersing yourself in the world of good taste: you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at regional quality producers, meet people who work with passion – and sample their specialties right at the source. From fruity wines and artisan cheeses to seasonal farm products, every tour becomes a true culinary experience.

Discover the natural material clay with Katja Battisti. In the Peterbühl area of Völs—an archaeological site where finds from various eras, including the late Bronze Age and early Middle Ages, have been uncovered—you will explore different techniques and experiment with natural pigments from the local area to decorate your clay creations. Each participant will have the chance to craft a flower pot or decorative vase to take home.

Additional Info: If desired, Katja can fire your items for you. This process will take about a week.

EXPERT:
Katja Battisti, originally trained as a florist, later worked in painting and design therapy. Her journey has led her to explore a wide range of arts, crafts, natural and herbal knowledge, and spirituality.

The opening evening kicks off the Stier weekend and presents the audience in the hall and on the radio with a full-length cabaret programme, this time featuring three renowned ‘state artists’. The trio can be described as a kind of supergroup of Austrian cabaret: Florian Scheuba, Thomas Maurer and Robert Palfrader.
Already established soloists and good friends in private, they joined forces in 2010 to take to the stage with an original mix of hard satire, topical investigative research, playful acting and a love of high-brow nonsense.
It all began with a television show on ORF, which is no longer in production. All the more reason to experience the trio live. For the Stier Gala on 22 May 2026 in Merano, the state artists have put together their own exclusive programme and broken through Austrian borders. After all, the evening will be broadcast from the Kurhaus Merano in four countries and 10 broadcasting areas, from Vienna to Basel, from Bolzano to Berlin.

As part of the "Schenna in blossom" series of events, the "Aperitivo lungo at Schenna Castle" will take place on 23 May. Visitors can enjoy castle charm and DJ beats with sparkling wine and delicious appetisers from the region from 5 to 9 pm. The entry is free. "Green events" are events that are planned, organised and implemented according to environmentally friendly criteria. Regional value creation, resource efficiency, waste management, mobility and social responsibility are the key factors.

Bodo Wartke (Germany) – German prize winner:
Rhyming culture with brains, heart, and humor. Did Antigone visit Barbara's rhubarb bar? Were there false horses in the ark? We don't know – but in Bodo Wartke's cosmos, anything is possible. He has recently devoted himself to tongue twisters, publishing over 50 of them to date. His rhyming extravaganza “Barbaras Rhabarberbar” has long since become a cult hit around the globe, and in 2025 he even published a book full of twisted verbal acrobatics. An artist who proves that linguistic wit can resonate with both the head and the heart.

Sonja Pikart (A) - Austrian award winner:
Born in Germany and now living in Vienna, Sonja Pikart is many things: actress, cabaret artist, biologist in a former life – and above all, a keen observer of human (and inhuman) idiosyncrasies. Her current solo show “Halb Mensch” (Half Human) takes the audience into a future where AI has taken over the world. Dystopia meets disco, science fiction meets self-irony. Pikart asks the big questions: What makes us human? Are we replaceable – or are we unique precisely because of our imperfections? She always remains charming, quick-witted, and damn funny.

Markus Schönholzer (CH) - Swiss prize winner:
Markus Schönholzer sums up life in a nutshell – intelligently, humorously, and deeply movingly. In his current program, “Die Schönholzers,” he sings about motherly love, fatherly expectations, and the little tragicomedy of everyday life. His songs are moving without being sentimental; they are clever and full of silliness, exaggerated and over-the-top, yet so close to everyday life.
