The LanAntiqua Festival, organised by the LanAntiqua Association, aims to give "early music", which is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, its deserved place in the cultural life of Lana. This music, which is not limited to any epoch, covers the periods from the Middle Ages to Romanticism. The festival's highest maxim is: original sound, i.e. the performance of the music in an appropriate sound setting on instruments of the period and with the knowledge gained from the historical performance practice handed down in treatises. Thanks to imposing venues such as the church Maria Himmelfahrt in Niederlana with its impressive altar by Hans Schnatterpeck and its special acoustics, top-class concert enjoyment is pre-programmed. One of our first summer events is the summer start of the Marinzen Alm. The Schellrodel Musig organizes this festival with delicious food and musical entertainment with "die Stommtischar". The festival takes place next to the Marinzenweiher pond. On the occasion of this event, everyone receives a 50% discount on the chairlift ticket.

In the Planetarium South Tyrol, visitors can experience the current and unique starry sky over South Tyrol, regardless of the weather and time of day. From the Jochgrimm/Passo Oclini car park (individual arrival), the hike with hiking guide takes about 50 minutes through flowering alpine meadows and fragrant mountain pine forest up to the rocky, white summit of the Weißhorn/Corno Bianco (2313 m). At the top will be served a small South Tyrolean snack with freshly sliced bacon and cheese as well as wine and apple juice - and a box seat for the fabulous alpenglow. Bees - so small and yet so important for our planet. They are among the most important pollinators in the world and contribute to the preservation of wild and cultivated plants. Learn everything about the life of the bee under expert guidance. Our beekeeper Roland will explain to you how the bee builds its combs and how the honey gets from the blossom to the jar. You will also learn which products can be made from honey. After the tour, you can taste some honey. A hiking adventure to discover South Tyrol's mountains and get to know this unique, enchanting, panoramic world better. Limited number of participants.

After 2017, the famous men's road cycling stage race returns to Val Gardena and for the first time to S. Cristina. Val Gardena, where cycling has always played a major role, has had the honour of hosting the Giro d'Italia nine times: the first time in 1940. On 21st May 2024, the Giro returns to the valley again: after a long stage with the Cima Coppi of the Passo Stelvio, the athletes cross the finish line at Monte Pana under the majestic Sassolungo at S. Cristina in Val Gardena. The stage starts uphill with the Passes Eira and Foscagno followed after Bormio by the Stelvio. Afterwards long descent and long plains to Bolzano along the Val Venosta and the Valle dell’Adige. From Cardano follows a long climb to Castelrotto and Passo Pinei. After crossing Ortisei, the last few kilometres are a gentle ascent up to the final climb to Monte Pana in S. Cristina.

On May 21, 2024, the Giro d'Italia returns to the valley and to S. Cristina for the first time: After a long stage, the athletes will reach the finish line at Monte Pana in S. Cristina in Val Gardena. This will, of course, be celebrated in style. The open-air party at Monte Pana, near the finish line, begins at 10:30 a.m. The group "The Waydlee" will heat up the atmosphere from 11:00 a.m. onwards before cheering on the cyclists. From 6:00 p.m. onwards, the group "Pëufla" will entertain you musically.

The 16th stage at 21.05.2024 starting in Livigno and finishing in S. Cristina in Val Gardena is a long stage (202 km) with the Cima Coppi of the Stelvio Pass in it. This impressive hike runs along the sunny slope of Barbian over the new bridge to Saubach and down the valley to Kollmann.

The Dolomites awaken. Hike to the panoramic mountain Monte Specie/Strudelkopf 2307m on the Prato Piazza high plateau in the Valle di Braies Valley. An amazing sight when the first rays of sunlight of the day hit the famous Three Peaks, the Valle di Braies Dolomites, the Cadini Group, Monte Cristallo, Tofana and Marmolada.
