    Theatre/performances
Theatre performance at the Theater im Hof - Schwanen
    Bolzano/Bozen, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
"Schwanen" with Eva Sotriffer A puppet theatre (almost) without words, freely inspired by H.C. Andersen’s “The Ugly Duckling.” Too big, too long, too skinny, too wobbly, too grey, too slow, too clumsy! Why am I different from all the others? The little duckling is out of luck. It doesn’t fit in anywhere, always stands out, and yes — it’s ugly, too. Even as an egg, it didn’t look like the others. So the duckling stumbles from one uncomfortable situation to the next. It encounters loneliness, exclusion, rejection, and even some cruelty. But then, something begins to stir inside. Where did that wing come from? Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s famous fairy tale The Ugly Duckling, Schwanen questions the ideas of “beauty” and “ugliness”, and explores why it can be so difficult to truly see ourselves as we are. Eva Sotriffer (IT/Südtirol) For children aged 4 and up Duration: approx. 45 minutes Start: 5:00 PM
