Be there when the terrifying figures parade through the streets and the old tradition comes to life. 👹 Krampus parade - Be enchanted by the mystical and wild figures of the Krampuses, who envelop the village in a spooky and beautiful atmosphere. 👺 Small exhibition of masks “from the past to the present” - Discover how Krampus masks have changed over the course of time in an exciting exhibition. From traditional models to today's works of art, the exhibition offers a unique insight into the world of Krampus. 🍪 Warm drinks and Advent baked goods - Warm up with delicious Advent drinks and try our traditional Advent baked goods - perfect for the cold season. 🎶 Musical entertainment - A musical program will set the mood for the evening and put you in a good mood. The event is supported by the Krampusclub Luzifer Roat-Stankuchl, who make the evening an unforgettable experience with their impressive costumes and their passion for this custom.

When night falls on 5 December, the Krampus once again roam the dark streets of Margreid according to tradition, rattling their chains, ringing their bells and gathering for a joint parade at 7 p.m. in the historic village centre.
After the devilish revelry, the Klommtuifl Margreid invite you to the big Krampus party at the NME wine cooperative.

Krampus Night in Trodena – with the traditional "Scheldern"

Krampus Day in Glurns begins with the ringing of bells at 3 p.m. on the festival grounds. At 6 p.m., there will be a St. Nicholas parade followed by an after-show party on the festival grounds. Live music with the Stadtlrocker and DJ Honz. Drinks will be served from 3 p.m. exclusively on the festival grounds. This year, for the first time, traditional masks as they were last worn around 1950 will be presented.

The golden autumn has given up its colorful place and left the stage to winter for the most contemplative time of the year. With a promising tone, lights and angels, Christmas trees and a small Christmas market announce the holiday season in Kaltern, which makes the most of its smaller size with nothing lacking. A contemplative village stroll if desired, enjoying wine and fine treats in festive garb, embedded in culinary traditions with both old customs and new practices that will join them. A celebration of joy, sharing, and community, surrounded by music and hospitality in the heart of Kaltern.

At 2:30 pm, a reflective service in honor of St. Nicholas will take place in the church.
Afterwards, we’ll continue celebrating together at Raiffeisen Square: the brass ensemble of the music band Andreas Hofer St. Leonhard will provide festive Christmas tunes.
St. Nicholas will arrive in a beautifully decorated carriage with his angels – bringing lovingly prepared gift bags for all the children.

The Group of devils in Villnöss valley organises the traditional Krampus parade. Over 10 Krampus groups from all over South Tyrol await you.
The festival starts at 6.30 pm; the Krampus run begins at 7.30 pm. The route is closed off. Afterwards, after-show party in the culture house of St. Peter with DJ Double Dee & DJ Speedy.

It Takes Two – Video Works from the Dalle Nogare Collection: Frank Hesse – 05.12.2025

On Friday, December 5, the Antonio Dalle Nogare Foundation presents the second edition of It Takes Two, a series of video works from the private collection of Antonio Dalle Nogare, curated by Eva Brioschi.

Opening: December 5 at 7:00 PM

The title is an ironic reminder that the realization of an artwork requires not only the work of the artist but also that of the viewer. It is the viewer who completes the creative journey initiated by the artist through their own perception. In the darkness of a video room, the relationship between artist and viewer becomes even closer: like in a confessional of the mind, one surrenders to the images, loses the sense of space and time, and embraces the possibility of a multisensory transmission and an unexpected epiphany.

At each opening evening, the Foundation’s Artistic Director, Eva Brioschi, offers a moment of in-depth analysis and participatory reading of the exhibited work, in dialogue with the artist and with professionals from the art world.

The second event of It Takes Two is dedicated to Frank Hesse, an artist, designer, and yoga teacher based in Zurich, who presents a video filmed in 2006: Florence: From St. Croce to the Institute of Art History.

Following the screening, Frank Hesse will engage in a dialogue with Eva Brioschi and Nasim Weiler, project manager at Stadtkuratorin Hamburg, whose research focuses on conceptual art and performative practices, to explore the themes and processes at the foundation of this video work.

Capturing an Artistic Practice: A Research Project by Museion

Museion – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Bolzano

Museion presents an exhibition on Sven Sachsalber (1987–2020), the result of a multi-year research project carried out in collaboration with BAU – Institute for Contemporary Art and Ecology and the artist’s family, funded by the German Cultural Office of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano – South Tyrol.

The exhibition explores Sachsalber’s career and works, known for videos, books, paintings, and poetic, subtly ironic performances. Archive materials, documents, interviews, and digitized works are organized into six thematic sections: art, body, time, books, home, friendship, offering new perspectives on his artistic thinking and practice.

One original work will be on display: Max and Moritz (2019), a series of drawings created in collaboration with Raymond Pettibon.
An interactive timeline and digital catalog allow visitors to explore over 350 digitized works and materials online.

Within the exhibition, Othmar Prenner, artist and mentor to Sachsalber, created a limited graphic edition, available at the Museion bookshop.

The exhibition and its accompanying publication offer moments of reflection and exploration, keeping Sven Sachsalber’s legacy alive while fostering new perspectives and international connections.

1. Back to the 80' + 90' Revival Party at the Pub-Bistrot Dream In

Benefit evening with goulash soup, an auction, and live music by the group “Simply Smooth” at the apiculture museum in the Plattnerhof farm in Wolfsgruben from 6 p.m.

On Friday, December 5th, from 5:00 pm. onwards, everyone gathers at the mulled wine stand on the main square – the perfect way to get into the mood for the upcoming Krampus run in the village. The fearsome Krampus figures march through the streets with echoing bells, sending shivers down your spine! On Saturday, December 6th, at around 6:00 pm., St. Nicholas himself will greet the children with a small surprise on the main square. Until 7:00 pm., the area remains Krampus-free, but then the village once again turns into a dark stage. At 7:30 pm., the spectacular Krampus Show begins, where various Krampus groups present their eerie skills – an experience no one will soon forget!

The traditional Brenner market takes place every 5th and 20th of the month throughout the year. If this day falls on a Sunday or public holiday, then the market takes place on Saturday before. At the market stalls many different interesting things, such as clothing, utensils and goodies for snacking are waiting.

The market takes place every summer from 8.30 to 14.30

During the winter months, it opens from 9.00 to 14:00

The Christmas Village opens its doors on all four Advent weekends, from 28/11 to 23/12/2025 from Friday to Sunday. Candle after candle form a luminous path through the winding alleys. The flair of bygone eras emanates from every corner and the romantic old town becomes a very special backdrop for a very special Christmas market thanks to its natural and authentic decorations.
At the Christmas village in Klausen, the stalls are hidden behind fir branches and in old cellars, where you can buy local products. And there will also be plenty of culinary offerings as well as an extensive program.

The church square sparkles in christmas lights, soft Christmas music and the smell of mulled wine and fresh pastries wafts through the air - on Friday, November 29th, it's finally time: the Algund Christmas Market opens its doors.

18 stalls and two food stands are eagerly waiting to sweeten your Advent season with regional crafts, hot drinks, and traditional dishes. The diverse offerings will be rounded off with musical performances, a show kitchen on Saturday evening, the large gingerbread house from the Tauber bakery, a children's program, and of course, the ever-popular ice skating rink.

The Ritten Christmas Market enchants visitors with beautifully decorated stalls, high-quality handicrafts, atmospheric music, and local specialties. A varied programme of events and children’s activities makes a visit to the Ritten Christmas Train Market (Rittner Christbahnl) an unforgettable experience, turning the Advent and Christmas season into something truly special. The Ritten Christmas Train Market at the Oberbozen railway station, in the historic Plattner Beekeeping Museum in Wolfsgruben, and in the village centre of Klobenstein is open during Advent and Christmas time on Fridays from 2 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Ritten Railway connects the three locations every 30 minutes. On all opening days: Nativity scene exhibition at the historic Plattner Farm in Wolfsgruben.
