Julian from the Wurzer Alm in Hafling has the right spin and is happy to share his knowledge with you. Together you will prepare South Tyrolean dumplings in the traditional way. The location offers a special ambience: the Wurzer Alm, which is nestled between forest and meadows at 1,707 metres above sea level.
The prepared dishes are then tasted.
From Passo Gardena to the easily reached summit of Sas Ciampac, amidst splendid varieties of flowers and on the trail of fossilised shells that remind us that the Dolomites originated from the sea millions of years ago. The Cier pass and the Puez plateau make this excursion to the Ciampac, which at 2672 metres above sea level offers a view that is nothing short of spectacular, even more fascinating.

Start your day the Dolomites way – with fresh mountain air, quiet trails and a scenic breakfast above the clouds. This guided e-bike tour takes you up to the stunning Seceda area, with a delicious stop at the charming Neidia hut.
We leave early, at 7:45 AM, from the On the Rocks Bike Shop in Ortisei, taking advantage of the calm morning hours. The route covers about 20 km and 930 meters of elevation gain, mostly on forest roads and panoramic trails – perfect for riders with a moderate fitness level and some e-bike experience. Our expert guide will lead the group at a relaxed, steady pace.
At Neidia hut, a traditional South Tyrolean breakfast with local products awaits you, surrounded by unforgettable views of the Odle peaks and beyond. A moment to relax, recharge and breathe in the beauty of the Dolomites.
After breakfast, we head back to Ortisei via a varied and enjoyable descent, completing the experience in around 4 hours.

Up above Martell Valley, lies the Niederhof at an altitude of 1,650 m. Take a guided tour of the original farm museum, providing an insight into life on a mountain farm in the past and present.

After taking the Tiers cable car to the Frommer Alm mountain hut and the König Laurin 1+2 cable cars to the Kölner mountain hut, our hike begins. The ascent from the Hirzelsteig to the Vajolon Pass (2,560 m) is steep but relatively short. A short iron ladder helps us to overcome the rocks. We then descend to the Rotwand hut, where we take a break. We then follow the high trail past the Christomannos monument to the Paolina hut. From here we take the lifts and the bus back to our starting point in St. Cyprian.

Ratschings/Racines, Sterzing/Vipiteno and environs
From the parking lot in the village Obertelfes (1,300 m), follow trail no. 5 to the Freundalm alpine hut (1,735 m). Continue along trail no. 5 and then switch to trail no. 6, which becomes steeper, leading to the Ochsenscharte. From there, trail no. 23 takes you across rocky terrain to a ridge, where a short chimney section with a rope-assisted passage (note: this is not a via ferrata) brings you to the summit of Telfer Weißen (2,588 m). From the top, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Ridnauntal Valley and the surrounding mountain ranges.
The return route mostly follows the same path, with a short detour to the Ochsenalm and Kuhalm alpine huts, where you’ll find opportunities to stop for food and rest. Trails 5B and 5 then lead back to the parking lot.

The Waterfall Trail begins in the village of St. Anton in the upper Pflerschtal. In about 2.5 hours of ascent, we hike along the Waterfall Trail and reach the Furtalm at 1690 meters above sea level. We pass numerous waterfalls, accompanied by stunning views of the surrounding mountain landscape. After a relaxing lunch break, we will hike back down into the valley to the starting point.
Total duration: approx. 6 hours / approx. 500 meters of elevation gain / pure walking time 4.5 hours / Difficulty: Medium.

They still exist In Val Gardena: the areas, where you can discover the alpine animals up close. As the world slowly awakens, a taxi takes us from Nives square to Passo Sella. In the fresh morning air, we hike through the tranquil and atmospheric mountain landscape with the local guide Roman, who will introduce you to the local flora and fauna, and set off in search of the animal inhabitants. With a bit of luck, we may spot marmots or other animals that take advantage of the early hours.

Olang/Valdaora, Dolomites Region Kronplatz/Plan de Corones
Have you ever tasted real farmers’ butter on freshly baked South Tyrolean bread with a stunning mountain view? This hike starts at the Olang 1+2 mid-station at 2,000 m and leads you along a well-marked trail with several stops to a traditional wood-fired oven.
The hike is not guided, but the route is clearly signposted. Along the circular trail, you’ll also discover how butter and bread were made in the old days – a delicious journey into South Tyrolean tradition and alpine nature!
The church of St Veit stands on the Tartscher Bühel hill. The Romanesque church from the 11th century houses frescoes inside, some of which are badly damaged. The entire west wall is filled with a cycle of paintings (fragments) dating from the 16th century.

The starting point of this mountain tour with the Catores guides and with a special view is the Alpe Resciesa, which can be reached by funicular from Ortisei. From the top station, the hiking trail in the Puez-Odle Nature Park first leads to the summit cross on the outer Resciesa, where you can admire an impressive panorama. On path no.35 you reach the Ramitzler hut: here the panorama - with a view of the Seiser Alm, the Sassolungo Group and the Valle Isarco - is simply breathtaking. Then it goes down to S. Pietro, from where you take the public bus back to Ortisei.

The circular hike starts from the hiking starting point in Unser Frau in the direction of Mastaun Alm. After an ascent of around 2.5 hours, you reach the Mastaunpichele with its summit cross (2,285 metres above sea level). From the summit cross, you can not only see the snow fields of the Niederjochferner and Marzellferner in all their splendour, but also the Vernagt reservoir sparkling turquoise blue as you look down into the valley. The descent is via the Lafetz Alm back to the starting point.
