For two days, Kaltern will be all about its local wines. Starting from 6 pm, on Thursday, September 4th and Friday 5th 2025, at the main square, in the heart of Kaltern, the local wine producers will offer their wines for degustation. Visitors and wine lovers will have the chance to taste different wines, get informed by wine producers, cellar masters and wine experts and finally enjoy a nice conversation amongst wine enthusiasts.

With its unusual shape, the Plattkofel peak is one of the most distinctive and best-known panoramic summits in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. At 2,955 m, the peak also boasts an absolutely spectacular 360° view of the Dolomites at sunrise. A minibus will take you to the Zallinger mountain refuge, from where the fairly steep ascent leads to the Plattkofel mountain refuge. From here, the trail initially leads along a grassy ridge and later a very steep ascent over rocky terrain up to the Plattkofel peak, where you can experience a magnificent sunrise. After the descent along the same trail, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast at the Plattkofel mountain refuge before heading back to the set-off point. DURATION OF THE HIKE (WITHOUT REST) 2:15 h from Zallinger to Plattkofel peak (3,7 km; 900 m uphill) 1 h from the peak to Plattkofel mountain refuge (2,3 km; 650 m downhill) 30 min. from Plattkofel mountain refuge to chair lift Florian (1,4 km; 250 m downhill). There we take the chairlift to Saltria, where the minibus awaits you.

"A well-rounded experience" - preparing original South Tyrolean dumplings Experience a guided panoramic hike over the Platschjoch to the rustic Ungererhof in Schluppes, where we prepare original South Tyrolean dumplings together. Walter will show you the right way to shape the dumplings. Afterwards, we will taste the delicious traditional dish together. You will receive the recipe, so that you can make this classic South Tyrolean dish at home. Drinks are not included in the price!

A full day in which we invite visitors with disabilities (valid I.D. or official validation required) and a companion to enjoy the magnificent late summer flowers at the barrier-free Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle – absolutely free of charge.At the Touriseum, visitors can take an entertaining journey through the history of tourism in Tyrol.

Out of enthusiasm for alpine folk music and the joy of making music together, musicians from the Teis band founded the group ‘Teiser Tanzlmusig’ in 1997. In 2002, the ‘Teiser Tanzlmusigfest’, a festival that is still unique in South Tyrol today, was organised for the first time. Traditional, down-to-earth folk music, social get-togethers, local specialities and delicacies and a pleasant time are the focus of the event. The event begins at 09.30 am with a Holy Mass on the festival square in Teis. This is followed by the performances by various music groups.

The civic band of Tramin invites you to their Festival, on the covered festival place. Enjoy traditional dishes and excellent wines from the local wineries.

Traditional farmer and handscraft market in the town center! As one of the oldest market villages of South Tyrol, San Candido will follow the tradition of the farmer's market with a demanding and innovative program. The project is called "Heugabel" and describes the farmer market and the farmer life.

Wine festival organized by the "Schützenkompanie" Tramin from 10 a.m. at the festival ground of Tramin.

On Saturday festival of the local music band. On Sunday the festival starts with a typical morning pint or "Frühschoppen". The highlight of the festival is the traditional procession through the village. The beautifully decorated festive floats illustrate themes and scenes of village- and rural life. Various music bands accompany the festive pageant with lively sounds. The folk music band "Die Söhne Tirols" provides a lively atmosphere and entertainment until late in the evening.

The brothers Ulrich and Otto Messner, better known as Vincent & Fernando, will make hit-song-lovers' hearts beat faster. Their charisma and professionalism is shared with a great passion for music, which has brought them the "Bergkristall".

Get up bright and early to enjoy the peace of morning while out hiking. What could be better than enjoying the peace and quiet of morning in the mountains? During the guided hike from Tiers to the Völsegg Peak, a breathtaking view of the Dolomites awaits you. In the family-run Tschafon mountain refuge between the the imposing Schlern Massif and the legendary Rosengarten Massif you will enjoy a special mountaineer breakfast featuring quality products from South Tyrol. In the late morning the hiking guide will take you back to Tiers. If you want to stay a little longer, you can relax on a blanket in the extensive meadow. DURATION OF THE HIKE (WITHOUT REST) 2:15 h to Völsegg Peak (4,1 km; 638 m uphill), 15 min from Völsegg Peak to Tschafon mountain refuge (0,8 km; 102 m downhill), 2:50 h from Tschafon mountain refuge passing Schönblick back to Tiers (8,5 km; 749 m downhill)

From 18th to 21st September, we will join together to collect waste thanks to the SÜDTIROL CleanUP Days. The project is organised by the non-profit association Patron. As part of the SÜDTIROL CleanUP Days, eleven South Tyrolean destinations are calling for nature to be cleared of rubbish. The clean-up takes place in Val d'Ega/Eggental, Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, Villnöss, Olang and Aldein Radein, in Val Passiria/Passeiertal, Valle Aurina/Ahrntal and in the regions Valle di Casies/Welsberg-Tesido/Taisten, Gitschberg-Val Giovo/Jochtal, Lüsen and Racines/Ratschings. The eleven territories have one thing in common: they all strive to spread a conscious and respectful approach to nature. Furthermore, in IDM South Tyrol we have found a partner who cares as much about our planet as we do. The concept is easy to explain: by forming small groups, numerous nature lovers set out to collect rubbish scattered in forests, on the shores of lakes, in municipalities... in short, wherever rubbish has been left behind. Anyone can participate: Registration and coordination of the routes takes place via the CleanUP Map (interactive map) at www.patron-nature.org/en/cleanup/south-tyrol. Here, participants can directly enter their chosen date and route.

In September, Last Summer Glow invites you to an atmospheric evening that celebrates the end of summer in a unique atmosphere. Under twinkling fairy lights and warm candlelight, surrounded by natural decorations, cocktails, selected red and white wines and fresh juices are served. Small culinary highlights round off the experience for guests. An evening full of relaxation and enjoyment that celebrates the gentle transition from summer to autumn in a stylish and harmonious way.

“Morning is the golden hour”. Never a truer word was said, as you’ll see when you get to the Rosszahnscharte ridge high above the Seiser Alm and behold the glow of early-morning light over the Dolomites at dawn. A shuttle service will take you to the Seiser Alm. Together with the mountain guide, you hike towards Panorama and, later, cross the slopes of the Goldknopf at the foot of the Rosszahnscharte ridge. A narrow hiking trail then winds upwards in a steep ascent to the Rosszahnscharte ridge (2,499 m), for the breath-taking beauty of the sunrise. Just a few minutes’ walk from here will take you to the Tierser Alpl mountain refuge, where you can recharge your batteries for the descent with a mountain breakfast. The Day of the Choirs will take place at the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle throughout the course of the entire day, sending the sound of local choral music ringing out over the Asian bamboo, North American forests and exotic Mediterranean landscapes.

Sunday, September 28th, starting at 10:00 AM, the Marling's Music Group invites you to their traditional "Törggelen" Festivity at the Marling fairground! 🎉 Look forward to a selection of delicious South Tyrolean specialties! Program: Starting at 10:00 AM, morning pint with Bohemian music and the youth music group "Musig Unlocked" (young musicians from Algund, Gratsch, Tscherms, and Marling). Afterwards, from 2:00 PM, "Törggelen" afternoon with another live music group. The Marling Music Group is excited to welcome you and treat you to delicious food! 🌟
