The magic of the Granfondo Dobbiaco-Cortina, which is ready to take flight for its 48th edition on the weekend of 1 and 2 February 2025, does not stop. The Granfondo Dobbiaco-Cortina is one of the most traditional and popular long-distance cross-country ski races, capable with its enchanting tracks to immerse the fans of narrow skis in the magnificent environmental context of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites of Alta Pusteria and the Ampezzo peaks. The dates for the 2025 edition have been confirmed for the first weekend in February, with the event re-proposing the beloved format: on Saturday 1 February, classic technique enthusiasts will open the dances of the Dobbiaco-Cortina with the 42 km TC, while on Sunday 2 February, free technique lovers will be able to unleash their energy on the 35 km course. BALLADE is the tale of an era, or rather two. A diptych, between autobiography and desire for care, loneliness and spirit of community: the present day with its bewilderments is the focus of Elegia by Morelli, while the 1970s and 1980s are portrayed in the choreography that gives the entire show its name, Ballade by Bigonzetti. The pieces accompany the audience on a journey between different generations. Bigonzetti's choreography is sewn onto a musical dramaturgy that draws on Prince, Frank Zappa, Leonard Cohen and the CCCP and is inspired by one of the most significant literary voices of the time, that of Pier Vittorio Tondelli. Morelli's Elegy was born around Frédéric Chopin. Within and in opposition to the music, the eight bodies of dancers seem to want to go beyond themselves in search of the care of the other. HEAT-FREE? Knowledge and action for our future In 60 minutes of climate show, we will show you basic facts about climate change and, above all, possible solutions and their implementation. An opportunity for everyone to be informed and inspired! What is the climate show? The show uses video clips, interviews and graphically presented facts to convey the basics of climate change in a particularly vivid way. It shows possible solutions in the areas of energy, mobility, construction, agriculture and nutrition. Inspiring role models show how they can be implemented and thus bring about positive change. Two experienced speakers will lead the event and will be available for questions and discussions. The project was launched in 2023 by several organisations, activists, experts and scientists. In cooperation with the Organisation for a World in Solidarity (OEW) and the Climate Club South Tyrol, a format was created that conveys compact knowledge and encourages action. The "Tru liösa Foram" night sledging run, which will be illuminated for the occasion, makes the descent under the stars truly special. The Piz Sorega cable car is open from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. It will be possible to buy the individual ascents, or a special 4, 6 or 10 ride card, at the ticket office. If you don't have a sled, you can easily rent one at various rental points in the area. No uphill access for skiers. During the event photos or video footage may be taken for the purpose of documentation and promotion of the event and the region. The footage may be used and published on websites, on social networks and on media in compliance with the data protection regulation.
