Music festival of the Foiana orchestra "Bauernkapelle Völlan", Vereinshaus Völlan Sat. 10.08: Entertainment with the Holla Duo. Sun. 11.08: Entertainment with the band Oberwind. Fun and games for the children with play ideas.

On the mountain Putzenhöhe/Cima Pozzo there will celebrated a Mass (in german language) with the music band of Kiens/Chienes starting at 11.30 a.m.

With traditional musical entertainment. It will be served polenta in different variations. From 10 a.m. at the center of Terenten.

Every year in August, a particularly large number of shooting stars flit across the night sky. From 11 to 147th of August, the so-called "Perseids" reach their peak this year. This is also the case on Tuesday, 12th August and the Knottnkino cinema in Vöran is the ideal place to keep an eye out for the "lucky charms". Bring a picnic blanket, listen to pleasant sounds and enjoy some tasty snacks ... Members of the South Tyrolean amateur astronomers "Max Valier" will also be there, with telescopes and interesting stories to tell about the night sky. Photographs and videos may be taken at the event for the purpose of documenting and promoting the event and the area. The recordings may be used and published on websites, in social networks and in the media in compliance with data protection regulations.

At 1 p.m. special ride with the historic narrow-gauge railway from the train station Oberbozen to Maria Himmelfahrt and back. Accompanied by the train experts who tell interesting facts about the history of the Ritten Railway, followed by a short guided tour of the Remise in Oberbozen. Price: € 10, € 5 kids (6-14 years). Special ride only with reservation at the Tourist Office Ritten/Renon. Limited number of participants.

Live music, dancing and gastronomic specialities on the festival ground. If the weather is bad the festival doesn't take place.

The procession will be in Ehrenburg/Casteldarne at 8:30 am. From 11:00 a.m. music concert.

At the harvest from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on the church field in the centre of the village, the crops are cut with a scythe, bundled into sheaves and the Kornmandlan, or “grain people”, are stood up to dry. The arable crops are harvested. Visitors are invited to take part. The traditional Marende snack, called “Neinern“, is just as important as traditional equipment.

At 8.30 p.m. parade through the village with lanterns, followed by a confetti fight and concert by the Niederdorf music band at the music pavilion in Niederdorf. In case of rain, the event will be held on 17 August. Exactly year in, year out, on 15 August, 'Ferragosto Day', there is a huge fun day in Niederdorf. Fun for young and old in the middle of summer is the confetti battle at the music pavilion. This event was first mentioned in the chapel's chronicle in 1924. A lantern procession for children, accompanied by the Niederdorf music band, opens the event at 8.30 pm. Of course, there will be a concert by the band at the pavilion afterwards. You simply have to be there - otherwise you've really missed out on something great.

The Staben volunteer fire department invites you to a festival on the village square in Staben. Music, food and drink are provided. The festival site is located directly on the cycle path and close to Staben railroad station. Start of the festival: 10:00 am The members of the Staben fire department look forward to seeing you there.

Lantern festival at the entrance to the Val Gardena railway tunnel with the clown duo Herbert and Mimi. The clowns are two lovingly developed characters who tell their stories in a lively and cheeky way and make you laugh. Herbert and Mimi are home alone. They should actually be asleep. But the sandman has left again, and to get tired, the two of them play a game. And then another game. And discover the joy of winning and the sorrow of losing. And suddenly nothing is as it should be. Total chaos. But with the help of the audience, Herbert and Mimi make their way through the chaos so that the world is back in order. Afterwards, the children receive a lantern for the lantern parade.

At 8.00 pm Concert of the Music band Kiens in Kiens/Chienes. If raining the concert will be canceled.

This approximately 1, ½ -hour walk concludes with a wine tasting at a local winery in Marling or the Cantina Merano Winery in Marling. If you hadn’t realised it before, when the first rays of sun timidly appear on the surrounding peaks you will see just how much it was worth getting up so early. A sunrise mountain tour on the Schlern mountain is a very special experience. A shuttle bus will take you to the Saltner Tschapit hut, where the ascent begins. Equipped with headlamps, you will arrive at Monte Petz (2,564 m) at around 6:50, in perfect time for the sunrise. After this natural spectacle, a well-earned breakfast awaits you at the Schlernhaus mountain refuge, also known as the “castle in the mountains”. For two days, Kaltern will be all about its local wines. With its unusual shape, the Plattkofel peak is one of the most distinctive and best-known panoramic summits in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. At 2,955 m, the peak also boasts an absolutely spectacular 360° view of the Dolomites at sunrise. A minibus will take you to the Zallinger mountain refuge, from where the fairly steep ascent leads to the Plattkofel mountain refuge. From here, the trail initially leads along a grassy ridge and later a very steep ascent over rocky terrain up to the Plattkofel peak, where you can experience a magnificent sunrise. After the descent along the same trail, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast at the Plattkofel mountain refuge before heading back to the set-off point.
