Guided Hike to the Summit of Telfer Weißen (2,588 m)

From the parking lot in the village Obertelfes (1,300 m), follow trail no. 5 to the Freundalm alpine hut (1,735 m). Continue along trail no. 5 and then switch to trail no. 6, which becomes steeper, leading to the Ochsenscharte. From there, trail no. 23 takes you across rocky terrain to a ridge, where a short chimney section with a rope-assisted passage (note: this is not a via ferrata) brings you to the summit of Telfer Weißen (2,588 m). From the top, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Ridnauntal Valley and the surrounding mountain ranges. The return route mostly follows the same path, with a short detour to the Ochsenalm and Kuhalm alpine huts, where you’ll find opportunities to stop for food and rest.
