Wineries along the South Tyrolean Wine Road
Winery cooperatives, family wineries and idiosyncratic winemakers: the 70 wineries on the South Tyrolean Wine Road make distinctive, individual wines of the highest quality.
With some 4,250 hectares of vineyards, the South Tyrolean Wine Road runs through the largest winegrowing area of South Tyrol. The use of traditional winegrowing methods and state-of-the-art winemaking techniques all ensure the production of unique and award-winning wines from South Tyrol. The native varieties Vernatsch and Lagrein are just as much at home here as the Gewürztraminer grape, while international varieties too have long been a feature of the region. Take a trip to one of the many and varied wine villages, join a guided winery tour to learn all about the production of wine, or enjoy a tasting session at one of the numerous wineries and estates.
