This is an easy but very nice hike, where you have the possibility to half it, going back by bus from the Passo Monte Croce. Many visible residuals from World War I.

From the top of the Mount Elmo across the Alta Via Carnica and through wood until Innichen / San Candido.
Probably one of the nicest hikes in the San Candido/Innichen region. Its main attraction is the wonderful peaks of the Sexten Dolomites that tower over the whole of the Innerfeldtal valley. The area is also part of the Drei Zinnen Nature Park and is therefore a place of special beauty and tranquillity. The destination for this hike is the Dreischusterhütte mountain hut, which is open from June to the beginning of October and also has accommodation. The hike is relatively easy with no particularly difficult sections.
An extremely scenic, six-kilometre high-altitude trail that follows old war trails and can also be recommended to less experienced mountain hikers, especially as the ascent can be done by lift and the way back by bus. The good trail leads from the Rotwand meadows, partly at the tree line, partly above it at the foot of vertical rockfalls, almost flat to the Kreuzberg Pass. From the path there are beautiful views of the Carnic ridge and the ice peaks of the Rieserferner group to the north.
This easy round walk brings you on the top of the Mount Elmo. It is one of the most beautiful vista points and offers a 360 ° view with the central Alps mountains in the north and the many, many Dolomites peaks in the south. This tour is ok also for a half day trip.
If you are looking for solitude and want to enjoy nature and its sea of flowers to the full, the western circuit of the Gsell mountain is highly recommended. It can be walked either directly from the centre of Sexten or from the Innerfeldtal valley.
From Baranci/Haunold valley station follow the route 28 and then route 6 to the "Riese-Haunold-Hütte" mountain refuge. Leaving the town towards west, shortly before the gas station, turn right and go up until the Hotel "Schopfenhof". From there go straight ahead and you will pass several farms until arriving to Dobbiaco/Toblach. Return by bus or train. Otherwise you can also return on foot, starting from the train station in "Neutoblach" and following the bike route along the rails to San Candido/Innichen.

The hike itself is relatively easy, a pleasant walk right across the Innerfeldtal valley.
Quite a challenging hike to the Haunoldköpfl panoramic mountain south of San Candido/Innichen. The hiking trail becomes quite steep in some places towards the end. There is also a section during the climb up where you can catch a glimpse of all three of the Three Peaks.

The “Places of Power and Forest Therapy - Balance” themed trail connects people with nature and its healing powers. Meditations are offered at various stations, allowing the energy of nature to have an effect on body and mind. Geomancy, an ancient knowledge of the interactions between cosmic, earthly and human energies, helps to recognize places of special energy. Places of power, zones with increased earth radiation, promote well-being. Forest bathing establishes a deep connection to nature through mindfulness, which strengthens the immune system and brings inner peace.
Now this meditation trail will bring psychic and therapeutic enrichment to everyone who experiences it as an alternative to the consumerism of our times.
