The Apple Trail starts in Tramin – more precisely in the district of Brenntal, about a 10-minute walk from the village square. From there, the themed trail leads through apple orchards and vineyards towards Kurtatsch.
Those starting from Kurtatsch can access the trail via the Millastiege, a staircase leading down from the village center to the valley. The trail can be easily walked from there as well.
Both starting points are easily accessible on foot, well integrated into village life, and ideal for those who want to combine nature, exercise, and learning.
You drive on the A22 motorway and take the Neumarkt exit to reach the South Tyrolean lowlands towards Tramin and Kurtatsch. Alternatively, you can also take the MEBO (Merano-Bozen expressway) and take the Eppan/Frangart exit there. Then continue on to Tramin.
Public parking is available at the bus station in Tramin, as parking directly on the street is not allowed. Please park your vehicle there before continuing on foot.
Along the South Tyrolean Wine Road, from Tramin towards Kurtatsch, a small path branches off shortly after the junction towards Neumarkt to the left into the Brenntal. This is exactly where our Apple Trail begins, amidst apple orchards and vineyards south of Tramin. From here, the pleasant path leads through the orchards towards Kurtatsch.
The trail can also be walked in the opposite direction.
Public parking is available in the village Tramin and Kurtatsch. Visitors can conveniently park their vehicles there.
From the parking areas, the entrance to the Apple Trail is easily accessible on foot. This allows you to park stress-free and then enjoy the trail through the picturesque apple orchards and vineyards.
