Itinerary
The hike starts at Lake Caldaro and follows the marked trail into Spring Valley. The path runs alongside the Angelbach stream through the protected nature reserve before climbing gently towards Montiggl and the Large and Small Montiggl Lakes. Return along the same route or by public transport.

Overview
The trail is easy and follows well-maintained paths. Some sections may be slippery after rain. As Spring Valley is a protected nature reserve, please stay on marked trails and do not pick the flowers.

The best time for this hike is from late February to late March, when millions of spring flowers cover the valley floor. Early morning offers the most peaceful atmosphere and the best light for photography.
Lake Caldaro and the Montiggl Lakes are served by regular bus services from Bolzano, Caldaro and Eppan. Please check current timetables before your trip.
Directions
Drive via the A22 motorway to the Egna/Ora or Bolzano South exit and continue to Lake Caldaro.
Parking
Several paid parking areas are available near Lake Caldaro.
