The C. MONTEVERDI Conservatory invites you to its free concert series ‘Monteverdi in concert’ from 29th January 2025!

The film is based on a true story and tells the tale of Alvin Straight, a farmer from Iowa who, in 1994 at the age of 73, undertook a long journey on a riding lawn mower to visit his brother who had recently suffered a heart attack. Straight covered a distance of 317 miles (approximately 510 kilometers) in 6 weeks, traveling at 5 miles per hour (8 km/h). As part of the Strade diverse series Free admission

From July 2 to 22, 2025, the Merano Drama Festival presents the world premiere of “The Great Awakening” – a historical open-air play about Michael Gaismair, the Anabaptist movement, and the Tyrolean Peasants’ Wars, directed by Pepi Pittl. Performances take place at the unique festival area above Trauttmansdorff Castle, next to St. Valentine’s Church. The play combines history and the present with powerful imagery and a profound message. The Merano Festival is under the patronage of the European Region of Tyrol, the patronage of the province of South Tyrol and the patronage of the municipality of Merano and the district community of Burggrafenamt. ‘The Great Departure’ is the eighth world premiere in a row to be staged at the Merano Festival as part of the initiative for premieres and first performances.

On almost every Wednesday evening in July and August, Andrian becomes an even more special meeting place - a place to enjoy the warm summer nights. Wine evenings alternate with aperitif evenings, and one Wednesday evening is dedicated to the kids. Local music groups guarantee you a pleasant atmosphere and a good mood. Musical theater piece with historical facts from the exciting history of the Allerengelberg monastery on the village square in Karthaus/Certosa. 200 Jahre Stilfserjoch Straße - Eine Straße, unzählige Geschichten. Die bewegende Historie des weltberühmten Juwels im Nationalpark Stilfserjoch wurde in einem bewegenden Dokumentarfilm eingefangen. Wir feiern die Premiere des deutschsprachigen Filmes am 04. Juli um 19.30 Uhr am Fuße des letzten Abschnittes des Baudenkmales, auf der Franzenshöhe. Einlass ab 19.00 Uhr nur mit gültigem, kostenlosem Ticket. WICHTIG: Die Temperaturen am und um das Stilfserjoch können zur Filmpremiere recht frisch sein. The Vespa Club ALAGUMNA is once again hosting its well-known and much-loved Vespa gathering on Sunday, July 6th, 2025 at the festival grounds in Algund. We are very excited to welcome many Vespa fans and enthusiasts from South Tyrol and surrounding regions – hopefully under bright sunshine. As in previous years, a beautiful route has been selected for the ever-popular Vespa tour. In addition to the Vespa exhibition, visitors can look forward to great live music by the Blues Project Band, delicious food and drinks, and some special highlights. This year, the Vespa meeting in Algund also serves as the final day of the 4th South Tyrolean "Genussrallye", a multi-day Vespa event with around 150 participants from near and far. Children's entertainment will once again be part of the program, and the club is also collecting donations for a charitable cause in a fun and interactive way – this year in support of the organization fabe – Family Counseling South Tyrol. As is tradition, everyone arriving by Vespa will receive a special gift again this year. The event will take place regardless of weather conditions. During the long journey, she shares the sleeping compartment with a young Russian miner. The two travelers embark on a journey that changes their outlook on life. The fire brigade in South Tyrol is made up of volunteers, willing citizens who work hard to protect residents and tourists. In this evening demonstration, you can see the impressive rescue manoeuvres the fire brigade practises in order to always be ready to help.
