LE REGISTE DEL MUTO - cineconcert Radio Days movies
    Bolzano/Bozen, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
The new Radio Days movie project concerns the sounding of two films both from northern Europe and dated 1929, the year in which the first sound films were already being shown with great success and practically all production companies were quickly converting to this new technique. Exceptions to this were a few directors who, by artistic choice and also because they were freed from big commercial business, continued for a few years on the path of silent cinema, deepening its potential, and the two films proposed belong to this category. Direction: Radio Days, Trento Works by: Joris Ivens,, Henry d'Ursel, Charles Dekeukeleire Direction: Music and Arrangements by Michele Kettmaier Musicians: David Andreatta - Clarinet, Baritone Sax Fabrizio Carlin - Trombone; Michele Kettmaier - Piano Claudio Lombardi - Acoustic Bass Thomas Samonati - Drums

    Teresa Reichl (D): „Bis jetzt“
    Bolzano/Bozen, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
Teresa Reichl (D): ‘Bis jetzt’. Bayerischer Kabarettpreis ‘Senkrechtstarter’ 2023 Finalistin 20. Hamburger Comedy Pokal 2022 Jugendkulturpreis Dingolfing 2021 Kulturförderpreis Regensburg 2021 Teresa Reichl is almost 30 years old and has not achieved any of the goals she set for herself at 16. No house, no husband, no children. On the other hand, she has a girlfriend and a three-legged cat. And instead of teaching, there is the stage. How do you realise you are an adult if you make money from jokes? And how do you make money with jokes when, all of a sudden, a depression comes along? Life is varied when one builds one's own milestones, goes from performing to therapy and does not have the fear of accidentally getting pregnant. Life is also an adventure when you oscillate between small towns and big cities, between roast pork and iced milk with oats, between classic literature and TikTok trends. Then, suddenly, studies end and you find yourself choosing which insurance to take out, while it seems like only yesterday you came of age. No wonder Teresa, in her private life, prefers to do nothing - yet she always has something to tell. Very light-hearted feminist cabaret. A perfect balance between serious social criticism and funny entertainment.

    Theatre: L'Empireo
    Meran/Merano, Meran/Merano and environs
'I love the epic, I love the chorus, I love the tragicomic nuance: The Empyrean is all of this together. And that's not all: it tells a compelling story. It is a contemporary text that dares to be set in the 1700s, precisely in March 1759. A contemporary text in costume? No way!’ Serena Sinigaglia brings to the stage L'Empireo (The Welkin), the most recent text by British playwright Lucy Kirkwood, winner in 2014 of the Laurence Olivier Award, the highest accolade in British theatre, whose plays are hosted and produced by the National Theatre and the Royal Court Theatre in London. Translated by Monica Capuani and Francesco Bianchi, L'Empireo (The Welkin) is presented for the first time in Italy. ‘L'Empireo is an extremely monumental and ambitious text: set in the mid 18th century in rural England, it tells the story of a jury of twelve women summoned by a judge who cannot execute a girl for murder because she claims to be pregnant,’ writes Capuani, journalist and translator, a point of reference for English and French theatre literature. ’The female jury will have to decide the truth or otherwise of this claim, and will thus have the power of life and death over her. From this female microcosm, the fundamental and timeless issues of women's lives in any era emerge. First of all, the unfair treatment that the law written by men still exerts on women and their bodies‘’. Sinigaglia continues, ‘Empireo is the first play I have come across that tackles gender issues and does so without conceding anything to rhetoric or banality. It is dry, rough, true, on a par with reality. It also gives space to actresses, 19 characters of which 17 are female. A nice inversion from the average of characters conceived and written for women'. Ticket: www.teatro-bolzano.it/

Philipp Scharrenberg (D): „Verwirren ist menschlich“
    Bolzano/Bozen, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
Philipp Scharrenberg (D): ‘Verwirren ist menschlich’ Cabaret & tender mindfucks ‘Mindfuck’ means confusion with method. And the confusion is there. It haunts the socially deprived media and can be found on the green-washed supermarket shelves. In the age of disinformation, we no longer need anyone to confuse us - we do it ourselves. The main thing is the net. Time to lead us astray! Philipp Scharrenberg doesn't believe in artificial intelligence - he prefers to make intelligent art. For thinking along. He's a tooth-teeth-feeler, somewhere between childish and enlightened, who is always asking: ‘Why?’ As an obsessive-compulsive neurotic, he knows what makes society tick and which buttons he has to press when there's confusion in his brain. As linguistically playful as ever, with poems, songs, radio plays and stand-up, he shows how difficult it is to be sure of your own opinion today. Not a ‘them up there’ cabaret, but a ‘us down here’ cabaret, honoured with the German Cabaret Prize 2023. A ‘mindfuck’ - but tender. Performance dates: Thu 20 and Fri 21 February 2025 at 8.00 pm at the Carambolage in Bolzano. www.philippscharrenberg.com

Brigitte Knapp & Daniel Faranna (BZ): “Verwurzelt & versteinert – GsichterGschic
    Bolzano/Bozen, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
Brigitte Knapp & Daniel Faranna (BZ): ‘Verwurzelt & versteinert - GsichterGschichtn’. Brigitte Knapp: composition, vocals Daniel Faranna: arrangement, vocals, instruments A cabaret of stories on the border between literature, music and visual art Faces in trees, roots, rocks or stones... I see them all the time! Am I crazy? Brigitte Knapp wonders. She decides to turn to ‘therapist’ Daniel Faranna, who also happens to be a musician and masters a wide range of instruments. His advice? Listen to those faces and turn their stories into written words. ‘Verwurzelt & versteinert - GsichterGschichtn’ is a unique narrative collection, published in September 2024 by Edition Laurin in Innsbruck. The book combines poetry, prose and songs in standard German and South Tyrolean dialect, inspired by photographs of faces immortalised in natural formations. The songs can be listened to online via QR code. Brigitte Knapp and Daniel Faranna bring book and music to the stage in an evening of theatrical art combining literature and music, enhanced by videos by Stefan Ghedina. At Carambolage exclusively with Special Ghost... äh Guest: Manuel Randi. The performance is complemented by a photo exhibition in the foyer, displaying other faces captured in nature, accompanied by songs or short radio plays. Stefan Leonhardsberger (A): „JA!“
    Bolzano/Bozen, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
Stefan Leonhardsberger (A): ‘JA!’ In his first solo comedy show, Stefan Leonhardsberger recounts the everyday madness of a family man. Despite total physical engagement, he fails as an exterminator in his own bedroom, becomes the victim of an unrestrained girls' night out and drags himself along the Danube cycle path on foot. Yet he finds time to ponder life's big questions: what does relationship sex have in common with all-inclusive buffets? How does his father know how to get rid of rats? And why does his wife's Spanish family, after three children, still consider him impotent? A hilarious and sincere strip-tease of the soul of a man who says Yes! to his life. Actor, singer, stand-up comedian, web star? If you want to label Stefan Leonhardsberger, best to forget the traditional genres, because this artist lives to transform himself. He has achieved international fame thanks to his ‘Walk like a President’ videos on TikTok and Instagram, where he imitates the walks of world leaders. ‘Funny, brilliant, irreverent: Stefan Leonhardsberger is a born entertainer.’ (Oberösterreichische Nachrichten) Performances: Thu 27th and Fri 28.02.2025 at the Piccolo Teatro Carambolage starting at 8 pm. www.stefanleonhardsberger.com

    Traditional "Maschger" dance in Prad
    Stilfs/Stelvio, Vinschgau/Val Venosta
The traditional Maschger dance is an old carnival custom in Prad am Stilfserjoch. On Shrove Sunday, Shrove Monday and Shrove Tuesday, the Maschger, led by a Bajaz, perform. Good-humoured, masked and exuberant couples parade from inn to inn, where they dance and play tricks according to set rituals. The masked group consists of eight couples: Mr and Mrs, Farmer and Farmer's Wife, Steyrer and Steyrerin, Tuxner and Tuxnerin, Zillertaler and Zillertalerin, Mohr and Mohrin, Tschigeiner and Tschigeinerin as well as Zoch and Pfott. As soon as the Maschger enter a tavern, the Bajaz with his pointed hat opens the dancing. Behind him, the eight couples wait in rows of two to make their entrance. The last couple are "Zoch and Pfott", the two roughest characters. They are dressed in rags and are supposed to demonstrate fertility. Nobody knows the exact origin of this custom or its deeper meaning. It is probably a kind of wedding procession or a dance of death. Nothing more is known.

Eva Eiselt (D): “Wenn Schubladen denken könnten“
    Bolzano/Bozen, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
Eva Eiselt (D): "Wenn Schubladen denken könnten" Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis 2023 Goldener Stuttgarter Besen 2023 St. Ingberter Pfanne 2020 As a rule, we make ourselves quite comfortable in life. Everything has to be in its place: Keys? On the shelf! Charging cable? Somewhere. Reading glasses? Never seen them. Car? Probably in the garage. Or got rid of it. Partner? Definitely in the garage. Or abolished. Life is a huge wall of cupboards and let's be honest: if you think in drawers, you'll soon have a board in front of your head. And why not? When everyone is always staring at their smartphones everywhere, wood is at least a haptic expansion of the horizon. Eva Eiselt thinks so: It's time for Open Drawer Day and simply turn our standard shop inside out. Muck out, air out and set the things of life free. A genius masters chaos and if that's only a little bit true, Eva is truly a universal genius. Eva and her wild mix of cabaret, theatre and creative madness are in a class of their own. An evening with Eva Eiselt is like a short holiday and has a 98% recommendation rate on holidaycheck. Her themes are centrally located, her equipment high quality, absolutely recommendable. ‘On a scale of 1 to 10, Eva is a straight 11!’ (Martin Zingsheim) Performance dates: Fri 07th and Sat 08th March 2025 at 20:00 in the Bolzano Carambolage. www.evaeiselt.de

    Theatre: Vicini di casa
    Meran/Merano, Meran/Merano and environs
A comedy, free and provocative, that investigates with amused lightness the inhibitions and hypocrisies of our time. Amanda Sandrelli and Gigio Alberti, two of the most versatile and sensitive performers on the Italian scene, are the protagonists of Vicini di casa, an adaptation of the play Los vecinos de arriba by Cesc Gay. Accompanying them on stage are two very talented actors, Alessandra Acciai and Alberto Giusta. A close-knit and irresistible quartet that invites the spectator to reflect on prejudices and taboos. Anna and Giulio have been together for many years. They have a job, a child, some interests and many frustrations. He would have liked to be a musician but had to settle for teaching. She would have liked another child but has had to accept his resistance and seeks comfort in self-help manuals. A couple like many others, on the borderline between love and habit, precariously balanced. But still in balance. Unhinging this apparent stability are Laura and Toni, their neighbours, who burst into their flat and their lives. Anna and Giulio know little about them: they have been polite during the renovation work, they politely open the lift door to let them through and... they make love all the time, noisily! Giulio considers them uncivilised, Anna has the courage to admit that, deep down, she envies their lively erotic life. So, between a glass of wine and a slice of Pata Negra, the two couples confront each other, less and less shyly, on the slippery terrain of sexuality. Laura and Toni turn out to be much more reckless than expected; Anna and Giulio end up confessing fantasies, vices and secrets they had never had the courage to share. Ticket: www.teatro-bolzano.it/

Meraner Kabarett Tage Meran 2025: Eva Maria Marold & Band (A)
    Meran/Merano, Meran/Merano and environs
In german language. The title says it all: inconsistent, because Eva Maria Marold takes us on a journey through all eras and genres of the music world with Andi Pilhar (keyboard) and Goran Mikulec (guitar) and radical, because she doesn't whistle anything. Born in Burgenland, she is a born singer, so she takes the audience into the world in which she feels at home, the world of music, and delights them with her very own interpretations of well-known songs from A for ABBA to Z for ZAPPA. ‘If you sing, you don't have to talk much,’ is Marold's motto, which of course she doesn't stick to. Radically inconsistent, in other words. When she takes part in the matchmaking programme Herzblatt, she plays all three contestants at the same time. And when she reads from Fifty Shades of Gray, she can't sing either. Especially if you want it to sound sexy and submissive. So everything remains... radically inconsistent.

    Lars Reichow (D): “Wunschkonzert“
    Bolzano/Bozen, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
Lars Reichow (D): ‘Wunschkonzert’ The award-winning performer, radio and TV host, shows off the full range of his talent as cabaret artist, comedian, pianist and singer. And he is not afraid to expose himself: clear words against nationalism, racism and a strong commitment to thinking and acting open to the world. Never have words and music been so masterfully united. Never has one held so much breath as in this performance. Lars Reichow and his Best of ‘Wunschkonzert’ offer an excellent reason to confront reality. An entertaining and thought-provoking evening. ‘Reichow's programme is what cabaret should be: political, irreverent, polarising, provocative and very funny.’ (Mitteldeutsche Zeitung) ‘This cabaret performer can do it all: sing, play the piano, imitate voices, parody and switch from ironic to serious tones with ease.’ (Rheinpresse Düsseldorf) Performances: Fri 14th and Sat 15.03.2025 at the Piccolo Teatro Carambolage starting at 8 pm. www.larsreichow.de

Meraner Kabarett Tage Meran 2025: Dominic Deville (CH)
    Meran/Merano, Meran/Merano and environs
In german language. Dominic Deville has written a book about his years as a nursery school teacher. Entitled: From the everyday life of a fearless pedagogue. These experiences are naturally also a topic in his new stage programme. After seven years of late-night shows on SRF 1 television, the cabaret artist has been drawn back to the stage. Deville seeks answers from ‘OFF!’, so to speak, to questions that he never dared to ask in front of the television cameras: When does the common recorder publicly distance itself from National Socialism? And the question of why pre-school children can drive the nursery school teacher mad, and then not even dangerous-looking wolf gloves help, is also answered. Unashamed, charming and quick-tempered, Deville wraps his audience round his finger with original, snotty malice. Deville received the ‘Salzburger Stier’ radio cabaret prize for ‘OFF!’ in 2023. The stage performer Dominic Deville combines the best of television and stage in ‘OFF!’. A cheeky, surprising show that proves it: Once you've been through the tough school of television entertainment, you can mature from it. Meran/Merano, Meran/Merano and environs
What matters in life "It is now certain for all eternity that I will never marry," Victor is convinced of this at the beginning of the story. Will he still be at the end? Victor is still young and grew up with his stepmother Ludmilla and stepsister Hanna, where he experienced a lot of affection. Before he starts his first job, he is supposed to visit his uncle, the brother of his long-dead father. Full of hope, Victor sets out to find out about his family history, but encounters a bitter old man who has closed himself off from love and affection all his life. He is a true hag, that is, an old bachelor. The Oheim holds Victor for longer than he would like. But he has a life message for him ... Two generations discuss the existential questions of life. Philipp Hochmair brings the text from the Biedermeier era into the present day. Accompanied by electro-jazz from the band "Die Elektrohand Gottes", he reinterprets it without exploding it performatively. Because "the wildness contained in the text is played out in the language", says Philipp Hochmair. A wildness that is irresistible. Meraner Kabarett Tage Meran 2025: Andreas Vitasek (A)
    Meran/Merano, Meran/Merano and environs
Andreas Vitasek's new programme ‘Spätlese’ is a satirical look at the turn of the century: Tart, but with a pinch of residual sweetness, he sheds light on current topics such as climate protection, the pandemic, political correctness, advertising, artificial intelligence and natural stupidity. Vitasek takes the audience on nostalgic trips back to a time when everything was supposedly better and talks about his own past as a child in Favoriten and his life as a boomer in the posh diplomatic quarter. Of course, an old acquaintance is not to be missed - as well as many astute observations and just as much humour. ‘Spätlese’ offers trenchant, tongue-in-cheek and sometimes acerbic entertainment that will make you laugh as well as think. An unforgettable evening full of humour, depth and melancholy and the highs and lows of the modern world. Meraner Kabarett Tage Meran 2025: Simone Solga (D)
    Meran/Merano, Meran/Merano and environs
In german language. Happily into the depths with Solga. Germany has always been the great role model - not least in South Tyrol. Simone Solga does away with that. The best German of all time increasingly looks like a giant padded cell. And beware if anyone complains. About a policy that can no longer do anything and can no longer get anything right. From the railway to the military: the most diverse thing about Germany is now its various failures. It's true! Simone Solga creates a programme lasting around two hours, as if she were chatting in an intimate circle, moving from one topic to another, and because she talks in such a funny and entertaining way, people let her. She has been touring successfully with her own cabaret programmes since 2000, including as Angela Merkel's fictional prompter (‘Im Auftrag Ihrer Kanzlerin’, 2013 to 2017). This earned her the German Cabaret Award 2014 and the Salzburger Stier 2015, among others.
