The climbing tour on the peak of the Cima Piccola helped to the denomination of the today’s Preuß-Tower. The profitable tour is a milestone of the history of free climbing and is on the to-do list of every alpinist. As early as 1911, Paul Preuss discovered the logical intersection of cracks in the northeast wall of the seemingly impossible tower and realized it in an uncompromising climbing style.

Easy trail from Monte Baranci across the meadows and along the railway on to the Nordic Arena in Dobbiaco.
The Dolomites classic: the "Cima Grande". An absolute must for every mountain lover and in the 3rd degree of difficulty to be mastered above all in the company of an experienced mountain guide. Starting point is the Auronzo Hut (toll road from Lake Misurina). The access in the gorge between "Cima Piccola" and "Cima Grande" is easy to find: after a short walk in the direction of the chapel, the path climbs up a narrow path to the entrance at a prominent ramp.
Duration of walk/climb: ¾ hour to the summit attack point, 3 hours to the top and 3 hours to return to the start.
Best time of year: Mid June to beginning of October
Material/Equipment: A 60m rope, some lanyards, a set of friends, 5-6 quick draws and 4 screw-gate locking carabiners
