Riding lessons for everyone: Here at the farm „Kaserhof“ a team of highly qualified experts awaits you to familiarize you with all the stunning facts about horses, its needs and its distinctive characteristics. The walk near the city provides visitors with countless breath-taking views and can be recommended at all times of the year. Even in deepest winter there are plenty of opportunities for observing nature, as the local microclimate ensures that it is exceptionally mild here throughout the year. We’re always surrounded by a thriving natural environment and, although the promenade is artificially laid out and has been landscaped in many places, this is nevertheless a retreat where unspoilt nature can be enjoyed.

The Plattner farm house in Wolfsgruben is more than 600 years old. The Gramm Family, a mercantile family from Bolzano, has carried out an exemplary restoration of it liaising closely with the provincial historic preservation agency and so, also because of its unique location, it is one of the most picturesque farmsteads in the region. Today it accommodates a bee-keeping museum that illustrates in a lively and vivid way the sweet art of making honey. The magnificent Plattnerhof is the largest private collection of South Tyrol’s beekeeping and it is also a monument of rural architecture and savoir vivre. A nature trail on the picturesque hill near to the house explains the world of bees to visitors.

Archeological discoveries prove that settlements at Lavena date back to the Bronze Age, probably as a place of paga worship.

The lovely church beside Lavena is dedicated to St. Jacob, the patron of travellers and wayfarer. 150 years ago, Lavena was a frenquently visited merchant's and livestock market.

Today, Lavena has become tourist attraction and hiker's delight on the Salto high plateua in San Genesio.

Outdoor gaming pleasure - here you are at the right place! With its many different equipments to play on, the playground offers the perfect place for children to let off steam. 

HUBZ is an innovation space in Bolzano for freelancers, start-ups, cooperatives and enterprises.

This is one of the major wine growing regions of Bolzano, embellished by the slopes lined with grape vines. The "schiava" grape variety is cultivated here and vinified in the Santa Maddalena hills, hence the name of its famous ruby red table wine. Rows of wine farms line the hill.

The small church of Santa Maddalena, situated in a stunning panoramic position on the hill's summit, and hosting a precious fresco cycle dating to 1300, which is still well preserved on all its interior walls, is always woth seeing. Ask at the Tourism board for opening hours. 

The panoramic view from the Santa Maddalena hills ist astonishing. In the sunset the Catinaccio Dolomite massif takes a pink shade, due to the presence of dolomite mineral.  Its German name "Rosengarten" meaning "Rose garden" refers to the legend of King Laurin and  the glowing in the sunset remembers his Rose garden. 

 Each year on the 22nd of July a splendid festival takes place in Santa Maddalena, celebrating the saint Mary Magdalene. 

The Adamhof stables offer introductory lessons and guided rides out into the terrain for children, beginners, and advanced riders. Romantic carriage rides or a sleigh ride through the snowy winter landscape of the Sarentino Valley round out our offers.

The Renon cable car is a show case for public Transport worldwide. Transport links between Bozen and the Ritten have a long tradition. More than 100 years ago, the Bozen aristocracy travelled on the cog railway from the Waltherplatz in Bozen to the Ritten. This railway was replaced in 1966 by a cable car, which after 40 years of service no longer exists. In 2009 the new cable car was opened for public, the first of its kind in Italy. Every 4 minutes a cabin leaves the station and arrives 12 minutes later.

Admission to the climbing hall requires membership of an alpine club (AVS, CAI, DAV, OEAV, SAC).

The farm Oberfahrerhof in Flaas near Jenesien offers you full-day riding, half-day riding, riding lessons and carriage rides for people of all ages in front of a beautiful mountain view.

Panoramic view Sattele The top "Sattele" in the near of the mountain chairlift-station with his 2460 m is the highest point of the Skiing Area Reinswald. The "Sattele" is one of the most beautiful panoramic points in the Sarentino Mountains. The panoramic view for the Dolomites is great.
