The snowshoe hiking tour to the Moaralm hut (not hosted) lies on the sunny side of the Ahrntal valley. Enjoy the nature of Ahrntal valley on puffy snow pillows.

The High Altitude Trail Neves - high above the lake Neves in Lappach/Lappago! The trail connects the two mountain refuges Edelraut Hütte/Ponte di Ghiaccio (2,545 m) and Chemnitzer Hütte/Giovanni Porro (2,419 m).
The hike is rated intermediate for level of difficulty and offers unforgettable moments. The tour requires experience, not to suffer from vertigo, sure-footedness, physical fitness as well as suitable equipment.
The Ahrntal Sun trail takes you to several traditional mountain lodges where you can stop to eat and through magnificent flower fields on the sunny side of the Zillertal Alps. You will get to see breathtaking views of the Ahrntal (valley), of the Dolomites and of the Rieserferner mountain group. Particularly impressive are the pastures and the beautiful flowers on the mountain meadows in almost alpine terrain. Up here the farmer produces food in accordance with nature and he gives the land back what he takes from it. You will get an insight into the difficult life as it once was up in these meadows and can compare it to the much less difficult life up there today. If you get hungry, you can always try the typical specialties from the area.
High mountain trail to the Schwarzenstein - the striking summit on the main ridge of the Zillertal Alps.
In spite of its rather limited height the Lutterkopf is a stunningly beautiful mountain summit located further in the Ahrntal valley and it is a relatively easy climb. The area is quite isolated and original.

Children need constant change and are always looking for adventure. The Ahrntaler Sonnenwege (sunny trails) and especially its Ahrntaler Hexensteig (Witch’s trail) is the ideal spot to give families such exciting adventures. It starts at Mühlegg/Costa Molini from where you walk to the rushing Frankbachwasserfall (waterfalls). Continue on and pass an old millstone which tells us a little about the farm life of long ago. You then get to some rocks which are ideal for children looking for adventure and who want to test their climbing skills. The very brave children may even dare to enter into the bear cave and walk through the 20 m long underground tunnel where they will have to pass the witch’s big chair and a wooden carved family of bears before reaching the end of their hiking destination – the family friendly Bizathütte (lodge) which welcomes you with its mountain restaurant.
This Via Ferrata has truely earned the name "Avventura"! Three-rope bridge, Burmabridge, plank bridge or chimes - these are just a few elements that await you on the new Via Ferrata at Speikboden! Beautifully laid out, with many steps and final summit cross, the trail offers a breathtaking view through the Ahrntal valley.
The wonderful adventure Via Ferrata with difficulty B rounds off the wide climbing offer at Speikboden, along with the Via Ferrata Speikboden (B/C) and the Via Ferrata Kids (A).
The starting point is at the Station Speikboden Alm at 2.000m, which can be reached by cablecar. After a 30-minute hike on the forest road in direction to Luttach, you reach the entrance of the Via Ferrata Avventura. A total of 10 sections have to be climbed before reaching the summit cross of the mountain "Kleiner Nock". The tour is designed as a circular route, the return path is on the hiking trail no. 18a, back to the starting point.

Lappago bathed in luminous winter light at the foot of gentle Sasso Tondo.
In 1996, the ski lift "Glück" is converted into a four-seater chairlift with bubble. The name of this lift goes back to the beginnings of the Speikboden. Bernhard Glück was an entrepreneur from Munich, son of a South Tyrolean woman, patron, visionary and sponsor. At that time he significantly influenced the development of tourism in Sand in Taufers. This chairlift was named in his honor.
In just four and a half minutes, the Glück lift transports up to 1800 people an hour about 290 meters upwards. A total of two downhill runs, both of medium difficulty, are available for descent.

BOUNDARY PATHS PREDOI/PRETTAU - TAUERN PATH
Walk through the scenery and the history as you hike along the borders of Nordtirol, Salzburg and Osttirol. Enjoy the beautiful panorama and the views of Zillertal Alps, the Rieserferner Group as well as the Venediger Group. On a clear day,you can even see the Dolomites from the Drei Zinnen as far as to the Marmolada. Passing over these yokes you arrive at the refuges on the other side of the border into Zillertal, into Krimmler Achental or Prägratten.
The Picco Palù/Grosser Moosstock (3061 m) is one of the most strinkin peaks in the Valli di Tures e Aurina/Tauferer Ahrntal.

Just a few steps away from Hotel Berger/Gasthof Pircher, two small pistes with their own lifts wind their way up the sunny slope: the first is a platter lift from the Hotel Berger, right next to it is the Pichler chairlift. Professional ski instructors are also available. Families and beginners who are still a little unsteady on their skis will find the best conditions there to make their turns through the snow in peace and quiet.
Tobogganing-fun for the whole family in Kasern/Casere at the sunny end of the valley - Short toboggan run with conveyor system "magic carpet" especially for kids, near the car park Kasern/Casere. Possible also Snowtubing!

Roaners Bauernkuchl is a mountain farm 600 m above Taufers Castle.
Climbing up, the hike leads you through bright larch forests which were used as pastures in former times. The variety of blossoms on the rough grassland just above, is absolutely unique. The Almweg crosses the socalled “battle zone” with dwarf shrubs, sedges and isolated trees. Mankind has decisively shaped the landscape in alpine pastures. The descend will take you through some remains of a dense highalpine pine forest.
The Gögealm hut (closed in winter) is a perfect destination for a snowshoe hiking excursion: a great location with a beautiful view.
