Mountain tour to the Schwarzenstein

The starting point for this tour is the mountain hut Stallila (1,472 m), which can be reached from St. Johann/San Giovanni. The parking spaces there are limited; alternative starting point with parking is the hut Rotbachalm (1,423 m). Via the path no. 23 ascend to the hut Daimer Alm (1,862 m) and continue over the relatively long and sometimes steep path over boulders and snow to the hut Schwarzensteinhütte (3,026 m). From here ascend over broken rocks and snow to the "Felsköpfl" and continue over the glacier and boulders to the summit cross. 

The hike is rated high for level of difficulty and offers unforgettable moments. The tour requires experience, not to suffer from vertigo, sure-footedness, physical fitness as well as suitable alpine equipment.
