According to the city law book of 1604, one of the city’s ten public draw wells was located right outside the former Anreiterische Trinkstube tavern under the Große Lauben arcades. In the year 1348, a lay brotherhood founded the Heilig-Geist-Spital hospital in Brixen. It was converted into a nursing home and renamed “Hartmannsheim” in 1914 after the new hospital was built.
