The trip starts from Kastelruth towards Bolzano, continuing on the motorway in the direction of Trento, passing the picturesque Lake Toblino and through the impressive Arco Valley to Limone sul Garda. In Limone, you will get off the bus and have free time to spend the day as you wish. At 4:00 p.m., you will be picked up again at the Info Point in Malcesine. The transfer from Limone to Malcesine is by boat (not included in the trip price). The one-way fare is €9.00 per person. The Tiers volunteer fire department invites everyone to the 2nd “Tierscher Grisufestl” at the civil defense center in Tiers. Food and drink are well provided for! A highlight of the evening is the charcoal-grilled chicken, which is a real treat for the taste buds. Younger visitors can enjoy themselves on the bouncy castle.

With its unusual shape, the Plattkofel peak is one of the most distinctive and best-known panoramic summits in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. At 2,955 m, the peak also boasts an absolutely spectacular 360° view of the Dolomites at sunrise. A minibus will take you to the Zallinger mountain refuge, from where the fairly steep ascent leads to the Plattkofel mountain refuge. From here, the trail initially leads along a grassy ridge and later a very steep ascent over rocky terrain up to the Plattkofel peak, where you can experience a magnificent sunrise. After the descent along the same trail, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast at the Plattkofel mountain refuge before heading back to the set-off point. DURATION OF THE HIKE (WITHOUT REST) 2:15 h from Zallinger to Plattkofel peak (3,7 km; 900 m uphill) 1 h from the peak to Plattkofel mountain refuge (2,3 km; 650 m downhill) 30 min. from Plattkofel mountain refuge to chair lift Florian (1,4 km; 250 m downhill). Together with Martha, you will start a leisurely walk towards St. Michael. After about 30 minutes, we reach our first stop: the Zerund farm. There, you’ll gain a fascinating insight into life on a farm – including a visit to the barn. The hike then continues via Scherplatz to the Krahof farm. There, a delicious South Tyrolean snack awaits you, lovingly prepared with products from the farm. The farm gates also open for us at Krahof: get to know the free-range hens that lay the popular South Tyrolean free-range eggs. Autumn pleasures: Strudel hike - discover the secrets of the South Tyrolean dish With hiking guide Paula we set off from the village centre in Seis to St.Oswald. A short stop will be made at the Puntschiederhof farm, where we can taste apple juice and apples. We continue our hike to the restaurant St. Oswald, where we are shown how to prepare the traditional South Tyrolean apple strudel. Afterwards we will taste it together. “Morning is the golden hour”. Never a truer word was said, as you’ll see when you get to the Rosszahnscharte ridge high above the Seiser Alm and behold the glow of early-morning light over the Dolomites at dawn. A shuttle service will take you to the Seiser Alm. Together with the mountain guide, you hike towards Panorama and, later, cross the slopes of the Goldknopf at the foot of the Rosszahnscharte ridge. A narrow hiking trail then winds upwards in a steep ascent to the Rosszahnscharte ridge (2,499 m), for the breath-taking beauty of the sunrise. Just a few minutes’ walk from here will take you to the Tierser Alpl mountain refuge, where you can recharge your batteries for the descent with a mountain breakfast. DURATION OF THE HIKE (WITHOUT REST) 2:20 h to Rosszahnscharte ridge (6,2 km; 662m uphill) 10 min from Rosszahnscharte ridge to Tierser Alpl mountain refuge (0,7 km; 56 m downhill) 2:05 h from Tierser Alpl mountain refuge to Compatsch (6,9 km; 56 m uphill, 663 m downhill)

Local clubs and organizations will set up interactive booths along the street, offering fun and engaging activities for all ages. At each booth, participants can collect a stamp. For the thirth season the Nigerstrasse at the foot of the magnificent Rosengarten mountain will be reserved for hikers and cyclists this year on two Sundays (15th June 25 & 21th September 25) from 08.30 a.m. till 4 p.m. During this period of time, the road will be closed for automobiles and motorcycles. The cableways from Welschnofen / Nova Levante and Tiers / Tires will take all visitors to the Nigerstrasse. At the same time, inns and refreshment stops along the way will be serving a variety of culinary delicacies. The finest outdoor cuisine awaits you at the Tschein restaurant. A horse-drawn carriage runs every half hour between Franzin Alm and Malga Frommer - timetable. E-bikes can be rented directly from the local bike rental shops upon registration and payment.
