Oops – The Light and Music Show That Enchants When a little dreamer loses their balloon, a magical journey begins—through light, music, and boundless imagination. Oops is an immersive spectacle that transforms the façade of the Hofburg Brixen into a living canvas, brought to life by 10 powerful projectors. Accompanied by an original soundtrack from electronic music legend Giorgio Moroder, this visual journey invites audiences into fantastical worlds full of wonder and delight. A show that amazes all ages—and supports a good cause: for every ticket sold, a donation of €1 goes to UNICEF. Follow your balloon. And prepare to be enchanted.

The exhibition sheds light on the Peasants' War and its prehistory using archival documents from around 1500, focussing on the social, political and economic aspects of life before and during the peasant uprisings. Through the presentation of archival documents from the Diocesan Archives, works of art and everyday objects, perspectives on the Peasants' War that have been little illuminated to date are shown in order to visualise the multi-layered nature of the historical events and their complex causes. The exhibition builds a bridge between past and present and encourages reflection on the continuity of social upheaval.

Antonín Dvorák's impressive Stabat Mater for soloists, choir and orchestra is probably the best-known of the Bohemian composer's sacred works. Dvorák's own painful experiences with the loss of three children are likely to have prompted his preoccupation with the suffering of the Mother of God under the cross of her son. The work is one of the most moving and successful sacred works in music. Performers in the cathedral are the Haydn Orchestra, the South Tyrolean Vocal Ensemble, the Gürzenich Choir Cologne and four South Tyrolean vocal soloists. Berty Skuber was born in Völs am Schlern and has lived and worked in Völser Aicha for decades, interspersed with longer stays in Venice and Milan and numerous trips. Her exhibition activities, which began in 1970, have taken her far beyond South Tyrol and Italy to various European and American galleries, museums and collections. Berty Skuber works with a wide variety of media in her extensive oeuvre, ranging from painting and drawing to collage, artist's books, sculpture, objects and video. The exhibition shows important stages of her life's work.

The combined guided tours of the entire museum and the cathedral complex (cathedral, cloister and baptistery) take place alternately in German and Italian from Tuesday to Friday (except on public holidays). Local and seasonal, straight from the producer. Farmers from the surrounding area bring their own farm produce to the Brixen old town centre. Depending on the season, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, eggs, flowers, honey, homemade jams and pasta sauces, refined distillates and organically grown herbs as well as wooden handicrafts are offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays. From April to October, local associations prepare fresh tirtln (fried stuffed pastry) on site on a weekly basis. This means that every Saturday is also a culinary experience. This market has been a popular, lively meeting place for locals and guests for 30 years.

Federico Nuti's debut album “InFormal Setting” was released by HORA Records in September 2022 and earned the Tuscan pianist and composer second place in the “Miglior Nuovo Talento” category at “Top Jazz 2022” by “Musica Jazz”. Nuti is joined by four of the most exciting musicians of the new Italian generation: Francesco Panconesi (tenor saxophone), Jacopo Fagioli (trumpet), Amedeo Verniani (double bass) and Mattia Galeotti (drums). The line-up is reminiscent of a classical jazz quintet, but the music combines diverse contemporary styles of Afro-American and European origin. “InFormal Setting” stands for the balance between formal structures and spontaneous freedom, a space in which opposites merge to create new musical images.

An all-time favourite with young and old alike and a sustainable novelty here in our climes, which offer perfect conditions to our furry friends from North America, is a trekking tour with llamas. In addition to an informative guided tour, the trekking also includes a tour of the farm where the animals are kept, insights into farm life and, last but not least, a "Marende" (afternoon snack) at the Waldharthof farm. An unforgettable experience! Enjoy hiking through Naz-Sciaves/Natz-Schabs with the fluffy animals. Afterwards you will also get an insight into farm life and enjoy a South Tyrolean snack.

Weekly market in the village center - an opportunity to stroll through the colorful & noisy market stalls, haggle the price and return home satisfied.

The meeting point is the parking lot at the valley station of the Jochtal cable car in Vals. From there, we will drive together in private cars to the starting point of the hike at the Fane Alm. Carpooling can be arranged on site. Please note: Parking at the Fane Alm is subject to a fee. South Tyrol is renowned worldwide for its majestic mountains, clear Alpine lakes and idyllic walking itineraries. From the meeting point, we will drive together to the starting point of our excursion, located by the Fane Alm car park (1,700 metres). Following the path to Aschila, we will reach the Marblsee lake (2,250 metres) and then the Wildensee lake (2,532 metres), which at 46 metres is South Tyrol’s deepest Alpine lake. The return route will take us through the Labiseben Alm pasture and the Valler Schramme gorge back to Fane Alm. Refreshment points: Fane Alm huts, Labiseben Alm hut. The ruins were once a customs post and hunting seat, as well as the backdrop for the German Peasant’s war in 1526 and the Tyrolean Rebellion of 1809. This tour is a true insider tip! The ascent through the Schalderertal valley north of Brixen becomes a pleasure with the e-bike – ideally, we ride in eco mode to save battery power for later. Passing idyllic mountain farms, we reach the Zirmait Alm mountain hut, where we can take a well-deserved break. There are several options for the return route: those with energy and battery left can tackle the legendary trail on Scheibenberg mountain – one of the most beautiful and challenging in Brixen.
