The via ferrata Brigata Tridentina, one of the most iconic climbing routes in the Dolomites, is going to be illuminated under the starry sky of late July. An annual tradition, thanks to the tireless efforts of the local 'Croderes' group of mountaineers, who climb up with torches to illuminate the route, starting from the slopes of the Sella Group and reaching the Pisciadú refuge. This route was opened in the 1960s by the Alpini of the Brigata Tridentina. You should come and admire this spectacle in the church square in Colfosco, the best spot to enjoy the illumination. The Colfosco-Corvara music band will add a touch of charm with their enchanting melodies. Please note that in the event of bad weather, the illumination will be cancelled to ensure the safety of mountaineers. The band concert will take place in Corvara's event hall in the event of bad weather. On a tour through the colourful garden, you will learn everything you need to know about different cut flowers, their decoration options and how to keep them in a vase for a long time. We will cut seasonal flowers in the field and I will help you create your own bouquet! In between, you can enjoy a sweet snack with farm produce. On the first weekend of August, the traditional Val Gardena costume parade takes place. The five local brass bands, the traditional costume association, and various folk dance groups participate in the event. After the parade through the center of Selva, a grand concert by the brass band takes place in the town square. Food and drinks are provided by the local community association of Selva di Val Gardena. The traditional costume parade starts at 3:00 PM above the town square and follows Nives Street to the intersection at Hotel Krone. From there, it continues along the main road, passing Nives Square, and returns to the town square.

Every year on the first Sunday in August the ancient miller's profession can be observed and discovered in the Ternertal Valley within the framework of the Mill Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.! Enjoy the splashing of the wooden water wheels while observing the grinding process in the old mills! You can savour local culinary delights such as home-baked bread, dumplings and fried specialities.

For decades, a Holy Mass has been held on the 5th of August in Merano 2000 in honour of St Oswald, the patron saint of cattle and herds. The procession will also take place again. Afterwards, live musicians are playing at the mountain hut Kuhleitenhütte and at the hut Kirchsteiger Alm.

Open air concert by the local music band of S. Cristina. Currently the music band has 50 active members and is headed by Christian Hofer.

On Saturday, 09.08.2025 the Schlern Church Day (also called Kaschestag) will be celebrated again. At 10.00 a.m. o'clock from the weather cross petition to the Kassianskappelle, at 10.30 a.m. o'clock mountain service with H.H. Tirler Fabian. After the service, a get-together in the Schlernhaus and the surrounding alpine huts. All locals, shepherds, guests and hikers are cordially invited to the church day.
