Hiking

2-Täler-Trail – long-distance hike from Defereggen Valley to Antholz Valley

6-day long-distance trail from Defereggen Valley to Antholz Valley with panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges.
from center

The 2-Täler-Trail is a varied long-distance hiking route that leads from the Defereggen Valley in East Tyrol via Staller Saddle into the Antholz Valley, ending in Niederrasen. Covering around 90 kilometres in six daily stages, hikers experience an impressive diversity of landscapes and views.

The trail intentionally runs between the valley floor and the high mountains– neither a demanding high-alpine route nor a simple valley hike. Instead, it follows a mid-altitude line, offering ideal conditions for multi-day hikes with continuous panoramic views.

Along the route, you will enjoy unique views of the villages in the valleys as well as the surrounding mountain groups such as the Lasörling range, the Villgraten mountains and the Rieserferner group with its impressive 3,000-metre peaks.

The trail can be described as a “balcony of the Alps”, with constant long-distance views and a particularly varied landscape. At the end of each stage, you reach a village with various accommodation options.
