Hiking

Waldacker-Trail

Kastelruth/Castelrotto, Dolomites Region Seiser Alm
from center
This circular trail is very well marked and can be recommended especially for warm summer days.
Itinerary

At Hotel Cavallino d´Oro follow path n. 10 into via Bühl, in an easterly direction, past Estate Unterpray down to the end of the housing estate. There, path n. 3 branches off to the left. It leads along the course of Rio Tisana downhill through the so-called Waldacker. After 100 m cross the stream. Turn right here and follow the trail that climbs slightly in serpentines, always following path n. 3 through dense forest stands. Soon you come to a pasture on your left hand side and a fork in the road, where you turn left following path n. 3. After about 20 minutes, you reach the farms Lutz-Freudenegg and Einsiedel. Here continues the asphalted road for approx. 100 m and then turn right again into the forest. A wonderful view of Kastelruth, the Schlern and Puflatsch opens up. The last section leads past Haus Gaff down to the residence area of the Grondelboden and further along path n. 10 to the starting point.
