This scenic hike takes you from Falzeben via the Zueggsteig to the Piffinger Köpfl in Meran 2000.
Note: Due to construction work in the area, vehicle traffic may be present at times on Hiking Trail No. 14.

From the Falzeben parking lot, start by following Trail No. 40A, which leads you uphill along a nature trail through sparse forests. Along the way, you’ll be treated to beautiful views of the surrounding mountain landscape and the city of Meran.
At Chalet Zuegg, switch to Trail No. 14 and continue hiking toward the Piffinger Köpfl. After the final ascent, you’ll reach this popular destination at an elevation of about 2,000 meters. There, an impressive panorama awaits you, offering views of the Texel Mountain Group and the Valley. Several places to stop for refreshments invite you to enjoy the view during a leisurely break.
For the return trip, follow the same route back to Falzeben or, alternatively, take the Falzeben cable car.
With the bus until the bus stop Falzeben:
Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran- Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling. Shortly before Hafling Dorf turn left towards Falzeben.
