This moderately challenging yet rewarding hike leads through the peaceful and unspoiled forest landscape from Ortisei to S. Jakob and is particularly suitable for families with children. The trail runs mostly through shaded woodland and initially follows the Dialogue Trail, whose quiet atmosphere invites hikers to pause and reflect. A special highlight of the route is the viewpoint at Col de Flam, offering a beautiful panoramic view over Ortisei. The hike then continues comfortably through the forest to the Church of St. Jakob. Here, hikers are rewarded with an impressive photo opportunity: the historic church set against the majestic Sassolungo mountain group in the background. A varied tour that harmoniously combines nature, tranquility and stunning views.
The starting point is the parish church of Ortisei, from there follow the signs for the Dialogue Trail to Col de Flam, then the signs to St. Jacob.
Continue on an ascending forest path. Finally, turn right and walk on level ground to the little church dedicated to St. Jacob, the patron saint of walkers and pilgrims. The descent is via the outward trail to the trail junction where there is a wayside shrine. Follow the signpost "Annatal" and turn right past the valley station of the Seceda cable car back to the starting point.

You can also take Citybus 355 to St. Jakob, from where you can walk the last 20 minutes to the church.
