This hike along peaceful trails through the alpine landscape high above Merano, which is almost two hours long, passes scattered farms and idyllic spots and offers picturesque views of the mountains and valley.
The starting point of this hike high above Merano is the mountain station of the Taser cable car. From here, the path leads steadily downhill to Schenna. Follow the access road marked No. 20 first to Schnuggerhof and then continue on a shady forest path (18B, then 18) to Zmailerhof. From here, follow the signs for "Höfeweg" to Rastlhof.
Below Rastlhof, a short, steep forest path (No. 13) leads to the road towards St. Georgen. Follow the road until below the Waalweg after the hairpin bend, where you then turn right through the apple orchards along path No. 14 to Schenna.
