The tenth and most challenging stage of the 360° Obervinschgau circular hiking trail leads through impressive high alpine landscapes with magnificent views of the Sesvenna Group and the Obervinschgau valley basin, with a viewing platform as a special highlight.
The starting point for this stage is the village of Taufers in the Münstertal valley. Trail no. 6 first passes the ruins of “Reichenberg” and “Rotund” castles and continues up to Egghof, then on to Tella Alm in about an hour. The trail then leads to Tellajoch with its 360° viewing platform, which offers fascinating panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. There is the option of visiting the Tellakopf summit cross, which involves an additional climb of around 170 meters.
From there, the route descends to the Laatscher Alm and Schleiser Alm, which invite you to stop for a bite to eat. The trail continues west of Mount Monterodes via trail no. 11 and then 11A, where telescopes invite you to explore the peaks. The last section leads downhill to the idyllic village of Schlinig.
