From there, along the Rienz River to the district heating plant. From there continue to the railway underpass at the entrance to the Pragsertal Valley. A slight ascent leads to the forest nursery and past two beautiful farms in the direction of Welsberg. After the second farm, a short ascent and across the shooting range path takes you back to Welsberg. This route is perfect for beginners, as the elevation gain is minimal. Half of the trail is on a forest path, where there is more shade, and the other half on a paved meadow path, where there tends to be sun.
