The walk to the earth pyramids of Plata is suitable for families and leads to a unique attraction in the Puster Valley.
From car park P2 between Oberwielenbach and Platten, follow the signs for the "Pyramidipfad" trail and start by walking up wooden steps to the path. It runs through the forest, alternating between almost flat sections and gentle inclines, making for a fairly leisurely walk overall. After a while, you’ll reach a tarmac road. Follow this uphill for a short distance. At a bend in the road, a narrower path branches off to the right, leading you directly to the earth pyramids. Before long, the view opens up onto these extraordinary geological formations, which, with their slender clay columns and the capstones resting on top, are among the most remarkable natural features in the area.
Public transports from Mobility Center Bruneck/Brunico:
With the Citybus no. 432 to Oberwielenbach, bus stop Schießstand or with the citybus to Percha and after with the Summerbus (from the end of June to the middle of September) to Oberwielenbach, bus stop P1 (Wielental).
