Five local bird species will keep you company on the trail. Keep your eyes open for the life-sized sculptures – veritable works of art!
Itinerary
Along the way you’ll find five information boards, each dedicated to a different bird species native to Val Gardena. Each board comes with a handcrafted, wooden sculpture carved by Thomas Delazer, one of Val Gardena’s master sculptors. The boards display interesting facts about each species’ habits, lifestyle, and characteristics. This route does not present any particular safety risks.
Good sports shoes and rain protection are recommended for walking. A drink, snack and sunscreen should be carried in the backpack.

The valley station of the Col Raiser cable car can be reached by the free shuttle bus (8:30 - 12:00 a.m. ; every 15 minutes) from the Dosses Square. The valley station of the Col Raiser cable car is also served by the bus line 358/356 . Bus schedule: www.valgardena.it/bus
The Uciei de Frëines themed trail follows the scenic "Troi de Frëines" path, which connects to the "Troi dla Schirlates". You can reach this trail from the top station of the Col Raiser cable car via trail no. 4.
Alternatively, you can access the themed trail from the Cristauta car park or directly from the valley station of the Col Raiser cable car.
