The traditional "Gsiesa Marschtl" market takes place every year on the 1st Saturday in Val Casies Valley, in the village center of S. Martino. From trendy clothing to authentic regional products, visitors to the market will find everything their heart desires. Of course, the chestnut roaster with his roasted chestnuts is also a must at the market. The festival begins with a morning pint with Tyrolean specialties, followed by various performances by music groups to create an festitive atmosphere and entertain guests with traditional and modern sounds. The parade with the traditional homecoming of the cattle from alpine pastures is the highlight of the market and attracts numerous visitors year after year.
LANAPHIL, the widely known stamp collectors fair has become an international event with participants from all over Europe.
Along with a large selection of historical postcards, military items, banknotes, stamps and genuine historical stocks, LanaPhil also offers old shares and bonds as well as books, etchings and modern European stamps from the last 20 years. A special highlight is the personalised stamp depicting the famous gothic winged altar by Hans Schnatterpeck in the parish church of Niederlana.
The collectors fair takes place in the great hall as well as the foyer of the Raiffeisenhaus Lana and is open to the public from 9 am to 2 pm.

The Jenesier chestnut farmers invite you to the "Keschtnmorkt" in the village center of Jenesien.
They await the guests with all kinds of delicacies related to chestnuts, good things from the autumn farmer's kitchen and naturally roasted chestnuts as well as home-grown wines and homemade juices of all kinds.
Autumn is the time for Törggelen! “Törggelen” comes from the Latin word “torculum”, which means “winepress”. The fragrant smell of roasted chestnuts is truly special, and something which characterises autumn time. People meet together to enjoy Tyrolean specialities, the new wine (known here as “Susser”, from the German word for “sweet”) – and the delicious chestnuts, of course. Innkeepers, farmers, artisans and artists all proffer their wares on Raiffeisenplatz market square, so there’s plenty to see.

The following roads will be closed during the market: Lorenzerweg, Franz-Höfler-Strasse, Johann-Kravogl-Strasse. Parking is prohibited on all streets and squares from 06:00 to 16:00.

9 and 10 November 2024 the Touriseum at Trauttmansdorff Castle will play host to Meran’s sixth Vintage Market. Trauttmansdorff Castle will for the whole weekend be devoted to the idea of “vintage”. From 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day, selected market stalls will be offering collectors and browsers high-quality antique accessories ranging from sunglasses to hatboxes. The retro atmosphere will be complemented with live music and dancing from bygone eras as well as many other highlights.
*Vintage in English means classic, old, traditional: it refers to the fashions, furnishings and everyday objects from the 1920s through to the 1980s.
