Traditional autumn festival: parade of the Schützen corps (shooters) with costumes and music in Schenna. The mood is festive at the autumn Schützen fair! Traditional costumes are accompanied by lively music and culinary specialities. During the festive procession, holidaymakers and locals can admire the autumnally decorated floats, traditional folk groups and music bands as they parade through the streets of the village.

Today Badia celebrates the traditional "segra dl paisc", a festival for the whole village! The day begins with a solemn mass in the church, followed by the traditional homecoming of the cattle from the mountain pastures at 3.00 p.m. Of course, there are also culinary specialities and musical entertainment. At the celebration the statue of Mary descends from the altar and is solemnly carried in procession through the village, accompanied by the music band of Silandro and the group “Schützen” with saluting guns. Afterwards, the garden festival of the band of Schlanders will take place at the Matscher Au. History: 1799 Silandro was threatened by Napoleon's troops, and in this misery the “Schützen” sought their refuge in the grace picture Mary in the parish church. The "Schützen" praised to celebrate this Sunday for all time as a thank you and to bring the statue of Mary in procession through the city. In fact, the enemy withdrew.

The festival Sauders begins at 10:00 with the Holy Mass in the church of Sauders. From 11:00 then starts the festivities at the Winklerhof with performance of the folk dance group Oberrasen and the young Schuhplattler from Villanders. Music and entertainment will be provided by the Natterer Inntaler and the Südtiroler Tanzlmusig, where all dancing fans will meet on the large dance floor. Delicious Törggele dishes will be on the table, a raffle will be organized and for children there will be a playground and trampoline on site.

Festival of the huts in Kasern/Casere with farmer's market, live music, attractions for children and local delicacies at the various huts

Every year in September, the traditional Gsieser Almhüttenfest (Val Casies Mountain Pasture Festival) takes place in the Val Casies Valley, a highlight that attracts many hiking enthusiasts every year. The festival takes place alternately in the villages of Colle, S. Martino or S. Maddalena to give the many visitors the opportunity to get to know the numerous alpine pastures and the mountain world of the Val Casies Valley. This year the associations of Colle organise the traditional 37° Val Casies Mountain Pasture Festival on the Gallfallalm in San Martino. Starting point: S. Martino/village centre. The festival begins at 10.30 am. with a Holy Mass. In the characteristic alpine huts, various local dishes are served. Rustic folk music & children programme. A unique and unforgettable celebration to end the summer in Val Casies Valley.

When autumn begins in the southern Valle Isarco/Eisacktal, it starts also the so-called Törggele-season. Chiusa/Klausen celebrates the beginning of this ancient tradition with a big festival. From 20th September to 22nd September, the artist's city Chiusa dedicates itself entirely to the traditions of the "Törggelen" and transforms itself into some kind of outdoor tavern. Through the streets of the town, gastronomic stands offer various South Tyrolean specialties, such as Knödel, Schlutzkrapfen, sausages with sauerkraut (fermented cabbage), doughnuts, Strauben and roasted chestnuts. A rich selection of white wines from the Valle Isarco completes the culinary offer. The festival has also a colourful entertainment program and a lot of popular music. "Mirror in the Mirror" at the parish church of Lengmoos at 8.30 p.m., voluntary donation! The Chizzali brothers will present a program in two parts: a baroque section, where the cello will take center stage, and a romantic section, dominated by the organ. Connecting these two parts will be the wonderful work "Spiegel im Spiegel" by Arvo Pärt.

O'zapft is! Let's go to the 17th Taistner Oktoberfest on Saturday, 21 September and Sunday, 22 September 2024 in Tesido! Oktoberfest atmosphere with traditional music and original Oktoberfest beer. Pure fun at the shooting range and with mug throwing. An extensive culinary offer, as well as a large children's programme for the little festival visitors on Sunday round off the offer. So put on your dirndl or lederhosen and off you go to Tesido!

The competition has been held every 2 years since 2008 and is another gem of Bressanone's wide-ranging cultural landscape. The famous Bressanone Cathedral organ and the city itself are the ideal location for an organ competition. Organists of all nationalities born after 31.12.1980 can participate in the competition.

The Day of the Choirs, in cooperation with the Association of South Tyrolean Choirs, will take place at the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle on the 22nd of September. Children, youth, women's and men's choirs from all over South Tyrol will perform at Trauttmansdorff throughout the course of the entire day, sending the sound of local choral music ringing out over the Asian bamboo, North American forests and exotic Mediterranean landscapes.
