Visit the Family Winery Castelfeder and get to know their top-wines. We are looking forward to showing you around in our cellar and letting you taste a variety of our wines, like Chardonnay and Pinot Nero.
Since the time of the Romans, wine has been cultivated on the sunny slopes of the Wipptal. Today, 2000 years later, there are once again some pioneers who utilize the milder climate for viticulture. Peter Faistnauer is one of them; he operates the first winery in the Wipptal. Since 2015, he has been cultivating the white wine variety Solaris. After visiting the vineyards, the special wine will be tasted in the old barn.
Dogs are not allowed.
It is not possible to navigate the paths with a stroller, and the entire tour is not wheelchair accessible.

Every Friday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., the farmers' market takes place on the town hall square in Nalles/Nals with fresh produce from farmers in Sirmian/Sirmiano and Nals/Nalles.
We organise a trip (one-way) to the neighbouring Val Gardena to Ortisei/St. Ulrich every Wednesday until the beginning of October. In Ortisei everyone is free to decide how to spend the day. Our suggestion is a hike back to Villnöss valley.
Hiking suggestions
TOUR 1: Ascent with the Seceda cable car until the middle station. From there walk on trail no. 5 leading to hut Brogles Alm (ca. 400 m height difference). Continue on the Adolf Munkel Trail until reaching the meadows of Gschnagenhardt (no. 35 & 34) and via the hut Dusleralm to Zans (no. 36). Alternatively, you can also descend from the hut Brogles Alm via trail no. 28 to Ranui.
Attention: Panascharte is closed!
TOUR 2: Ascent with the funicular Resciesa. From there via trail no. 35 to the hut Brogles Alm. Continue via the Adolf Munkel Trail to Zans (no. 35 & 6). lternatively, you can also descend from the hut Brogles Alm via trail no. 28 to Ranui.
Start: The bus starts at 9.00 am in St. Magdalena/Ranui. You can get on at any other bus stop along the route according to reservation.

Fenn, Gaiderin, and Kematen – The History and stories behind Field Names around Klobenstein with Expert Johannes Ortner.

On this hike around Klobenstein, we will discover old field names such as Fenn, Gaiderin, and Kematen, which reveal much about the rich linguistic history of Ritten. However, these names also hold clues about past agricultural activities, local vegetation, and even prehistoric times. Field names often reflect how people perceived and categorized their surroundings.
Ethnologist and name researcher Johannes Ortner will provide further insights into these and other local peculiarities.

Visit to the fire brigade helmet museum in the Hotel Burgfrieden. We than walk to Neuhaus Castle, get some information about the history and visit the castle church (only in German and Italian language).

From growing fodder to rearing calves, to livestock farming with dairy products and processing them into tasty yogurt, butter and cheese. Even the energy is generated directly on the farm. Visitors can take a tour of the new barn and the new cheese dairy to learn about and follow the process from milk to cheese. Under expert guidance, they have the opportunity to make their own soft cheese with various spices to suit their individual taste and take it home with them. The exciting experience ends with a tasting of the farm products.

Mount up, start cycling and head up high! This panoramic tour takes you from the valley station in Sterzing via Telfes to Sterzing's famous local mountain - the Rosskopf. You climb around 800 meters in altitude in a relaxed pace on a wide forest road, accompanied by a certified South Tyrolean bike guide. Once at the top, cozy huts, delicious South Tyrolean specialties (not included) and a magnificent view over the Isarco Valley to the Dolomites await you.
The return journey takes you via the Telfer Almen or - if you prefer - by cable car.

Climbing is fun, not only for the children! On the climbing wall we train strength and agility in a completely playful way. But we also experience community and learn what it means to act in a self-determined way. By exposing ourselves to calculable risks, we experience success and failure and learn how to deal with them. Wines from our famous wineries are tasted in the middle of the vineyard. The tour ends with a typical South Tyrolean “Marende” snack in a private wine cellar. Immerse yourself in the world of wine and get to know the everyday life of winemakers!
Experience a breathtaking e-bike tour from Sterzing up to the high alpine natural paradise of Pfitsch - one of the last untouched valleys in South Tyrol. Together with a local guide, you will discover hidden places, enjoy the fresh mountain air and reach the impressive Pfitsch waterfall as the highlight. There you can dangle your feet in the ice-clear glacier water while exciting stories about the surrounding area are told.

The new Kneipp trail winds for 1.2 km through the idyllic forest between Tann and Bad Siess. The air is fresh and clear, the silence soothing – and gradually, we become more aware of the gentle sounds of nature. The soft murmur of the stream accompanies us along the way. What better place to experience the teachings of Sebastian Kneipp up close?
We take off our shoes, feel the soft forest floor beneath our feet, and immerse ourselves in the ice-cold, crystal-clear mountain water. We learn more about the five pillars of Kneipp therapy and experience their beneficial effects firsthand.

Immerse yourself in the world of miners with the whole family - on an easy hike with exciting insights into former life on the "Telfer Berg" (mountain). Along the Miners' Trail, you will discover historical stations with illustrative themed boards. Challenging routes, steep ascents, and dynamic descents – an ideal experience for experienced cyclists in good physical condition
The Waterfall Trail begins in the village of St. Anton in the upper Pflerschtal. In about 2.5 hours of ascent, we hike along the Waterfall Trail and reach the Furtalm at 1690 meters above sea level. We pass numerous waterfalls, accompanied by stunning views of the surrounding mountain landscape. After a relaxing lunch break, we will hike back down into the valley to the starting point.
Total duration: approx. 6 hours / approx. 500 meters of elevation gain / pure walking time 4.5 hours / Difficulty: Medium.

With a herbal fairy, we dive into forgotten knowledge to discover the natural powers of alpine plants. We immerse ourselves in the power place of "nature" and let our noses be enchanted by the tast of different ethereal oils.
Original, idyllic hike along the fern trail along the stream we learn about natural history and the history of the country and its people.
In the mountain pine distillery we experience the processing of the essential oils and the knowledge about their content. Afterwards we dip our feet into a warm mountain pine bath and enjoy these moments of mindfulness in the hay barn. Then we visit the herb garden and finish with a hearty spread of wild herbs on "Sűdtiroler Breatl" (typical bread) and a refreshing drink.
