After the first Edition hold 2015 the Festival "Jëuni rocking Sëlva" will take place also this year! Come and join us! Organised by youth association "Jëuni de Sëlva".

Dialogue is the heart of a respectful and cooperative community. It enables people to exchange ideas, understand each other, and find solutions together. The dialogue between humans and nature is also based on a reciprocal relationship and respectful interaction. When Armin Grunt takes up the chainsaw, nature sets the direction. The sculptor's sweeping movements follow the growth direction of the wood, giving the natural material its individual expression. Dialogue never stands still. In the meantime, we continuously change, consciously or unconsciously, just as our environment changes. Everything is in constant motion. Which direction it will take remains open. Armin Grunt (born 1969) attended the Art and Vocational School in Gröden and has been working as a freelance artist since 1992. He is a member of UNIKA and has presented his works to a wide audience in various exhibitions at home and abroad. Armin Grunt has also participated in numerous snow and ice sculpture competitions, including in Canada, the USA, and Russia. At the Tresl Gruber Library, impressive paintings by Giuseppe de'Spagnolis are on display under the title "Music in Painting." On July 19, 2024, at 5:00 PM, the artist will personally present his works. The exhibition can be visited during the library's regular opening hours. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of art, where music and painting blend in harmonious unity, and let yourself be enchanted by the works of Giuseppe de'Spagnolis.

The ninth edition of the Gherdëina Biennale entitled The Parliament of Marmots, curated by Lorenzo Giusti, will be open to the public from 31 May to 1 September 2024. At the center of the 9th Biennale Gherdëina are three thematic areas: the wild as a creative dimension, the multiple relationships between species, and the mountain as a meeting place. The artists gathering in Ortisei will focus their research on the concrete experience of the forest, hiking, isolation, the mountain, matter, the body, connection with different animal species, and empathy with the natural world. www.biennalegherdeina.it

A slightly ascending path at the foot of the Sasso Piatto takes you through meadows and forests to the „Piza da Uridl“ and finally to the Zallinger Hut. If you are lucky, you will hear the whistling of the marmots and spot them among the rocks. -- La Saslong – l purtoi dla garejeda de Copa dl Mond -- From Monte Pana you first take the chairlift to Monte Sëura. From there, you walk via Tramans to the start of the “Saslong” – the FIS Ski World Cup downhill race, which is held every year in December. Here you can admire the Dolomite peaks and the whole mountain scenery, as the vantage point is truly first class. Now hike down until you reach the Saslonch Hut. --Sota la Odles-- The exciting hike in the heart of the Puez-Odle Nature Park starts at the Col Raiser cable-way. Starting from the top station, a forest path leads to the newly built Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage viewpoint Mastlé – S. Cristina/Val Gardena, which is located at 2.200 m. The path beneath the vertical Fermeda Towers leads then to Pieralongia and after to the higher Seceda Alp. Following the path, you get to the Cir and the Crespëina Pass. The hike continues on a barren plateau, passing the Crespëina lake until reaching the Rifugio Puez. The splendid descent back to Selva di Val Gardena leads you through the marvelous Vallunga with the picturesque S. For seven years now, Südtirol kocht has been touring the province and creating a live cooking show together with chefs and agricultural producers as well as a new point of contact, entertainment and interaction for visitors interested in local food. -- Ancunté i alpaca -- This easy circular hike reaches first the Tervela waterfall at the foot of Monte Pana. After a short refreshment, the hike continues following a path until you arrive to the clearing Plan dala Sia. The Demetz family has been breeding 40 alpacas, known for their high-quality wool products, since the year 2000. At the beginning of the “Triech” ascent, you can spot a second, hidden waterfall. --E-bike Val Duron-- The clockwise Val Duron tour develops on the bike path towards the east. Leave the bike path once you’ve reached Plan, continue on the path across Plan de Gralba heading towards Passo Sella. At the height of the Mountain Resort only a few metres are left to the highest point of the tour (2,215 m) and the access into Val di Fassa. In the descent towards Canazei and, ultimately, Campitello, you can use a piece of the Infinity Trail before taking the mountain bike path 908 into Val Duron and continue up to Passo Mahlknecht. During this impressive tour you explore the zone around Monte Pana and Alpe di Siusi, which is well known as a ski area, but also as a paradise for hikers and cyclists. The tour starts at the Val Gardena Active office in Selva. Heading first towards La Selva and Monte Pana, from there to Saltria on the world-famous Alpe di Siusi. Biennale Gherdëina 9: Film Program Screening Program Curated by Lorenzo Giusti, Alice Labor, Marta Papini Biennale Gherdëina and the MUSE – Museum of Sciences in Trento collaborate to create a series of screenings of artist films that expand the perspectives of the biennial by offering alternative narratives and interspecies alliances, moving beyond the categories of animate and inanimate, organic and inorganic, human and animal. Or what horses prefer to nibble on and what different horse breeds there are? After we've groomed and brushed our horses, we can take a few laps around the riding arena and watch the farrier shoeing.
