Simple and linear forms define the artistic work of Andreas Senoner, whose journey as a woodturner began two years ago.
For Senoner, the work begins long before he actually starts turning at the lathe. Always in search of special pieces of wood, the creative craftsman finds his raw material on farms and in the surrounding forests—some finds he even brings back from his travels.
Nature also serves as a source of inspiration for Senoner when it comes to shapes and colors. Some pieces are burned, others treated in different ways, but the artist always manages to preserve the true value of the wood and its natural appearance. The shape, the color, the growth structure: everything is made and kept visible, revealing the story of the tree from which the finished piece has grown.
Andreas Senoner (born 1962 in Selva di Val Gardena) began learning the carpentry trade at the age of 14. In the workshop, he discovered his passion for wood—a passion that has never left him. The shapes and colors of trees, the vitality and power of branches that defy wind and weather, hold a deep fascination for him.
From this fascination grew the desire to learn the art of woodturning. Shortly after retiring, Andreas Senoner acquired a lathe and quickly realized he had found his true calling.
“It’s incredibly exciting to observe how a piece of wood transforms through my work. My many years of experience as a carpenter help me to understand the properties of the wood and what I can create from it,” says the artist.

With the CCM Pro Goalie Camp, we created a Pro style summer hockey camp where our athletes can train and prepare for the next season. We wanted to gather world class goalie coaches from all over the world to train in the most beautiful sorroundings. Small groups and attention to detail is our first priority at the CCM Goalie Camp.
With the CCM Pro Goalie Camp, we wanted to put a lot of focus on each goalie, so that every minute on the ice is designed to make you a better goalie.
Instead of running countless drills, we want to focus on a few specific drills and go into every detail. Everything is given in order to create an optimal training environment. Not only is it an unbelievable place to train, but it is also an unforgettable experience with fellows of the so called special breed.
Sëlva/Selva di Val Gardena, Dolomites Region Val Gardena
Ice hockey ist not just a game of skating and shooting… it is much more a game of quick decisions.
That is exactly why we created the Edges, Decision Making & Goal Scoring Camp, where we will work on the decision making ability of our players, because we think that it is the utimate skill to master the game of hockey.
After a few sessions of edgework to strengthen our stability, we will go into very specific decision making drills where we will challenge our players to make every decision quicker, in order to gain the edge over their competitors during that split second that decides upon victory or defeat.
Whether it is left or right, passing or shooting, the right answer does not wait.
And that is why the best technique is worthless, if it is not used at the right time.
When walking in nature with your eyes open, you will find lots of materials that can be used to create surprising things. In the small workshop in the centre of Ortisei, pebbles, moss, seeds, wood, leaves, pinecones, and other natural materials are used to build small works of art together with the children. Thanks to this workshop with the Nature Park Ranger the creations can be taken home and remind even after the holidays what great things can be made with such simple materials and a little imagination.

Founded in 1978, the Puez-Geisler / Puez-Odle Nature Park extends to Würzjoch / Passo delle Erbe in the north, Grödner Joch / Passo Gardena in the south, Gadertal / Val Badia valley (Kampill, Untermoj / Longiarü, Antermöia) in the east and Villnößtal / Val di Funes and Grödntal / Val Gardena in the west. The northern portion of the park encompasses Aferer / Odle di Eores, Villnösser Geisler / Odle di Funes and Peitlerkofel / Sas da Pütia, while the southern portion encompasses the highlands of Gherdenacia, Sassongher, Puez (including Langental / Vallunga) and the Cir mountains.
The park was enlarged in 1999 and now extends over an area of around 10,722 hectares belonging to the villages of Abtei / Badia, Corvara, Villnöss / Funes, St.Martin in Thurn / S. Martino in Badia, St.Ulrich / Ortisei, St. Christina / S. Cristina in Gröden and Wolkenstein in Gröden / Selva di Gardena. Apart from Villnösstal / Val di Funes, all of the park’s other municipalities are Ladin communities: St. Christina/Santa Crestina, Wolkenstein/Sëlva, Abtei/Badia and Corvara in the south, and St. Martin in Thurn/San Martin de Tor in the east.
The Puez-Geisler / Puez-Odle Nature Park, which counts as a Dolomites site hut, contains all of the rock types, sediment strata and weathering forms that are characteristic of the Dolomites. The park’s karstic highlands, majestic rock faces, rolling Alpine pastures set off against bizarre looking backdrops of cleft mountains, valleys formed by extreme erosion, and dark coniferous forests comprise a multifarious landscape that is rarely found in such a small area.

Humans wear shoes, and horses proudly wear their horseshoes. But have you ever wondered how exactly horses' hooves are shod? Or what horses like to nibble on and what different horse breeds there are? After you've groomed and brushed our horses, you'll get to take a few laps around the riding arena and watch the farrier at work. As a piece of luck, you'll be allowed to take home a horseshoe.
In the afternoon you’ll discover how lots of natural materials can be used to create surprising things. Pebbles, moss, seeds, wood, leaves, pinecones and others are used to build small works of art which can then be taken home.

A (Guided) Journey Through Time.
Strolling through Ortisei is like traveling through time. Historic villas from the turn of the century, once home to artists and entrepreneurs, take us back to an era when woodcarving brought prosperity to Val Gardena. Publishing houses and workshops offer a glimpse into the former wooden toy industry – and historic inns and hotels trace the valley’s transformation from a dream destination for alpinists to a popular year-round tourist hotspot.
You can embark on this journey through time in Ortisei with the help of a knowledgeable guide. The tour, offered in English, German or Italian depending on the participants, lasts 1.5 hours and is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Do you want to get to know and experience nature by hiking consciously and safely, but above all with the right hiking technique? Have you seen other nature enthusiasts using poles and would you like to try them out? Then this short afternoon hike, in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Vallunga and Chedul Valley, which are both unique in their kind, is just the thing for you.
Indeed, hiking in the mountains is a very complete physical activity, which is very healthy and of great benefit for strengthening the joints and the back. All this in direct contact with nature and at the same time affordable for everyone. It has also proven to be an excellent activity to get rid of a few extra kilos easily.
Walking is a natural, innate movement, yet walking should always be adapted to the conditions of the terrain. To walk up, down or across very steep terrain or particularly slippery ground, it is not enough to put one foot in front of the other: You need a minimum of walking technique.
Together with our local certified hiking guide Patrick, you will become better acquainted with the various hiking techniques that will enable you to tackle your next hikes in greater safety, but above all with less effort. You will also learn the correct use of trekking poles and discover the great advantages they offer for ascents and descents when used correctly.
This "full immersion course" in a unique mountain environment, is the fastest way to acquire the basic techniques to apply them in your future mountain tours and hikes.
By request, we will also deal with the topics of successful tour planning, emergency management as well as meteorology in the mountains.

A tribute to one of the greatest film composers of our time: Ennio Morricone. The Classical Mood Quartet – a family of musicians from Bolzano – performs his most iconic film themes, specially arranged for their ensemble, in an emotional and atmospheric concert. Their music tells stories through sound and imagery, taking the audience into the heart of cinema. An evening of musical magic and shared memories with old and new friends alike.
