--Da Urtijëi nchin a S. Piere-- The starting point of this mountain tour with the Catores guides and with a special view is the Alpe Resciesa, which can be reached by funicular from Ortisei. From the top station, the hiking trail in the Puez-Odle Nature Park first leads to the summit cross on the outer Resciesa, where you can admire an impressive panorama. Simple and linear forms define the artistic work of Andreas Senoner, whose journey as a woodturner began two years ago. For Senoner, the work begins long before he actually starts turning at the lathe. Always in search of special pieces of wood, the creative craftsman finds his raw material on farms and in the surrounding forests—some finds he even brings back from his travels. Nature also serves as a source of inspiration for Senoner when it comes to shapes and colors. Some pieces are burned, others treated in different ways, but the artist always manages to preserve the true value of the wood and its natural appearance. The shape, the color, the growth structure: everything is made and kept visible, revealing the story of the tree from which the finished piece has grown. Andreas Senoner (born 1962 in Selva di Val Gardena) began learning the carpentry trade at the age of 14. In the workshop, he discovered his passion for wood—a passion that has never left him. The shapes and colors of trees, the vitality and power of branches that defy wind and weather, hold a deep fascination for him. From this fascination grew the desire to learn the art of woodturning. Shortly after retiring, Andreas Senoner acquired a lathe and quickly realized he had found his true calling. “It’s incredibly exciting to observe how a piece of wood transforms through my work. My many years of experience as a carpenter help me to understand the properties of the wood and what I can create from it,” says the artist.

From here we can enjoy a beautiful downhill to Rifugio Firenze and continue to Selva. From here the trail takes us through a wonderful larches forest into Vallunga in the Puez-Odle Nature Park. We reach the alpine meadows of Pra da Ri and then ride back to Selva and S.Cristina. --Sota la Odles-- The exciting hike in the heart of the Puez-Odle Nature Park starts at the Col Raiser cable-way. Starting from the top station, a forest path leads to the newly built Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage viewpoint Mastlé – S. Cristina/Val Gardena, which is located at 2.200 m. The path beneath the vertical Fermeda Towers leads then to Pieralongia and after to the higher Seceda Alp. --E-bike Val Duron-- The clockwise Val Duron tour develops on the bike path towards the east. Leave the bike path once you’ve reached Plan, continue on the path across Plan de Gralba heading towards Passo Sella. At the height of the Mountain Resort only a few metres are left to the highest point of the tour (2,215 m) and the access into Val di Fassa. In the descent towards Canazei and, ultimately, Campitello, you can use a piece of the Infinity Trail before taking the mountain bike path 908 into Val Duron and continue up to Passo Mahlknecht. Holy Mass at 10.30 am in the Holy Cross Chapel on Resciesa with music entertainment by the men's choir "Raetia".

The Village Festival of Ortisei takes place annually on the first Sunday after the 4th of July. The feast is dedicated to the patron saint and eponym of the parish church of Ortisei, Saint Ulrich. Saint Ulrich was appointed Bishop of Augsburg in 923 and helped the poor and sick. As Val Gardena was part of the Curia of Augsburg at that time, he was declared the patron saint of the village. According to Tyrolean custom, the church consecration festival is introduced with saluting bangs and bell ringing. The saluting bangs are loud acoustic signals that are fired in Tyrol to announce high occasions. The festival is celebrated with a Holy Mass at 9:00 am in the church of Ortisei. To celebrate the church consecration in a fitting manner, a parade with Val Gardena’s costumes and the music band of Ortisei will take place after the mass.

--Ntëur l Sela cun la roda-- This mountain bike tour with stunning panoramic views starts from Selva di Val Gardena. Accompanied by expert guides, you drive clockwise around the Sella massif. Thanks to the lifts, it will be easy to reach the mountain passes Gardena, Campolongo, Pordoi and Sella. -- Jita te Puez -- The hike through the Nature Park Puez-Odle with the Catores guides starts at the top station of the Dantercepies cable car – a terrace with an amazing view of the Passo Gardena and the Sella massif. Following the path, you get to the Cir and the Crespëina Pass. The hike continues on a barren plateau, passing the Crespëina lake until reaching the Rifugio Puez. The splendid descent back to Selva di Val Gardena leads you through the marvelous Vallunga with the picturesque S.
