The story of the battle between two not entirely respectable businessmen, the beggar clan king Peachum and the burglar king Macheath, known as Mackie Messer, was advertised as a ‘play with music’ at its premiere in 1928 and was essentially the first German-language musical. Bertolt Brecht wrote the text together with Elisabeth Hauptmann, while Kurt Weill composed the immortal music. The three of them achieved a legendary worldwide success. In the new version at the St. Pauli Theatre, the songs are brought back to the fore in all their force. And if you look around, not only in the small world of the neighbourhood, but also in the big world of politics, you realise that not much has changed since Brecht's analysis.

Cultural event organised by the ‘Romano Guardini’ Cultural Centre at the Dominican Cloister from 7 to 18 May. This is the exhibition on the spread of Christianity in South Tyrol, which was realised on the occasion of the Holy Year 2000 and will be presented again this year in order to offer an opportunity to reflect on the origin of that ‘hope’ to which Pope Francis refers in the current Jubilee 2025. The exhibition will be open every day, with the possibility of guided tours (10am-12pm and 4pm-7pm) and a total of 35 panels with bilingual texts will be on display. On 8 May, at 5 p.m., it will be inaugurated together with the curators, by the Bishop of Bolzano Bressanone Ivo Muser.

The sunny mountain slope from Bozen up to the Ritten is one of the finest wine-growing areas in South Tyrol. Along the wine steps, the 10 artistic installations offer a fascinating glimpse into the culture of wine production. From Signat the trail leads downhill through the gently rolling vineyards to the viewing platform with its magnificent views of Bozen, then on to the Loosmannhof, to the settlement of St. Justina and down to Rentsch in the historic wine-growing estate of Ansitz Waldgries. The same route leads back uphill from Bozen to Signat.

Price: € 43 p.p. / € 95 for families (€ 40/€ 90 with RittenCard). Every Wednesday we take a walk with our well-behaved llamas and alpacas from Linzbach towards Wolfsgrubener See. Once we arrive at the "Lido" café by the lake, we give our animals a break for an hour, where you can treat yourself to a well-deserved ice cream or refreshment. During the hour's stay, each participant is free to use their time as they wish. On a hot summer's day, the lake invites you to swim, and if you want to satisfy your hunger at lunchtime, you can have a small snack in the "Lido" café or eat a delicious burger in Sea 23. For all honey lovers, the Beekeeping Museum is located in the immediate vicinity and is well worth a visit. In addition to the bee products on sale there, you shouldn't miss a tour of the museum. After the break, we make our way back to Linzbach with our tame stallions. Note: If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to convert this tour into a shorter trek. Take a guided tour through the historic old town of Bolzano. Visit Waltherplatz, Kornplatz, the fruit market, and the famous Lauben. Discover priceless works of art in the most significant churches of the city and immerse yourself in the fascinating history of Bolzano as a trading city. Along the way, we will explore medieval cellars, the barrel makers' alley, the traditional Torgglhaus, and the Weintörl near the cathedral. Afterward, you will have the opportunity to visit the South Tyrol Archaeological Museum with the famous "Ötzi", the Iceman! You won’t have to wait in line, as you can enter directly with the guide. However, a ticket must be purchased before entry. Once inside, you can explore the museum independently without the guide. A collection of the traditional costume "Rittner Tracht" from the 18th century to the present day. On Wednesdays and Fridays from 4–6 p.m. in the historic Commandery Lengmoos. Last entry: 5.30 p.m., Admission: € 4, free with RittenCard. The traditional costume has a long tradition on the Ritten/Renon, which is still cultivated by associations and organisations today. It is very important for us to preserve this living cultural asset for the future and make it accessible to a broad public.

The original building of the Commandery Lengmoos dates back to the early 13th century. At the time, all across the region, pilgrim hospices were built to cater to pilgrims on their journey to Rome and provide for the poor. A touching and funny cardboard puppet theater, performed by a postman Based on the children's book „Kuh Lieselotte“ Content The cow Lieselotte lives with chickens on a farm. The farmer is like a mother to her. But when the farmer starts inviting the postman Heiner for coffee, Lieselotte feels neglected and decides to take action. Lieselotte is actually very sweet, but now she hides to scare the postman. Poor Heiner is already having nightmares! Something has to change, he thinks. He packs a parcel for Lieselotte and lets her deliver the mail. Unfortunately, everything goes wrong – Lieselotte catches a cold. However, the farmer and Heiner take good care of her, and in the end, Lieselotte has two good friends. A special cardboard theater The performance takes place in a huge cardboard car, full of cardboard parcels, with cardboard scenery and puppets – a creative theater experience made of paper! On 8 May, SKB ARTES opens two exhibitions of two positions on the South Tyrolean art scene. Both engaging and different from each other. Both exhibitions create stages: Willy Verginer, internationally known for his sculptural works, stages with theatrical force a reality that seems to be out of control. Alexander Wierer, winner of the 2024 Paris Residency Prize of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Bolzano, together with Rasmus Ramö Streith, invites us to follow autobiographical traces of the interpersonal and what is apparently secondary, beyond the visible. Alexander Wierer and Rasmus Ramö Streith first met in the summer of 2024, in Paris, during their stay at the Cité Internationale des Arts. At that time, the Olympic Games were taking place in Paris, turning the city into an isolated and guarded space. The July heat played its part, further paralysing people and children. Under these circumstances, a friendship was born. Shoe soles, leftover cakes and a cash machine intertwine in the exhibition no, no flowers into a tale. They tell of the traces of the path travelled, the celebrations celebrated and the receipt of a very deep friendship.

Minimum of participants: 6, max 12 persons. At the Ansitz Waldgries Manor, in the middle of the famous wine-growing area of S. Maddalena, viticulture has a long tradition. Waldgries was first mentioned in a document in 1242. Today Christian Plattner leads the wine estate with enthusiasm and success in the 3rd generation and gives his wines a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. Unique is the wine path "Zeit in Waldgries", where the visitor learns a lot of interesting facts about the winery and the daily work. At the end of the artistically designed path, the visitor is rewarded with a magnificent view of the city of Bolzano and the surrounding castles.

We cross the village and then descend along the ancient Roman path to the famous Ritten earth pyramids. Once there, we give our animals and ourselves a little breather, during which you can read about the history of the earth pyramids on the notice board, take photos or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. After the short break, we climb back up the ancient Roman path. Once we arrive in the village at the cable car station, we make another short stop and those who wish can treat themselves to an ice cream or refreshment at Cafe Fink. Strengthened, we then start the rest of the way back to the pasture of our llama and alpaca stallions. For a limited number of visitors, we open up the old, historic cellar located seven meters underground, providing you with unique insights into our daily work at the winery and much more... Every Thursday morning until noon, the weekly market on Via Pietralba offers fruit, vegetables, and other fresh food, as well as clothing. If Thursday is a public holiday, the market will take place on Wednesday.

A special event in support of the B1 Rifugio mountain shelter The event, titled "Solidarity Aperitif", will take place on Friday, May 9th, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM, at the headquarters of Mancabelli – Via Marconi 4 – Bolzano. This unique occasion offers the chance to enjoy delicious tastings accompanied by an exhibition of local artisan crafts. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the B1 Rifugio to support its activities and ensure its continued operation. The Manuart APS Association in Bolzano organizes monthly events dedicated to craft markets, where local creatives showcase their creations. Artisans from the region work with various materials, with a particular focus on recycling and sustainability. Visitors can discover a wide range of handmade products, including bags, jewelry, paper crafts, ceramics, wood, felt, crochet, fused glass, sculptures, paintings, wirework, leather, fabric, buttons, cans, and much more. Additionally, throughout the year, special days are organized for children to teach them how to create using recycled materials. A unique opportunity to stimulate creativity, promote craftsmanship, and raise awareness among young people about the importance of recycling and environmental respect.
