The decorative village, with its historical centre features the church tower of Kastelruth, one of the highest in South Tyrol, which can be seen from far away. An ascent of the Baroque tower, up 325 wooden steps, offers grandiose Dolomite views. Kastelruth is also famous as the hometown of the Kastelruther Spatzen, a renowned folk music band.
