Holidays in Kastelruth/Castelrotto

Enjoy the Dolomite views in the hometown of the “Kastelruther Spatzen” folk music band

Magnificent Dolomite peaks, forests and gentle green pastures form the backdrop of the main municipality of the Seiser Alm high plateau region. In addition to being great for families, holidays in Kastelruth are ideal for casual strolls, hikes or mountain biking tours as well as winter sports in nearby Seiser Alm high plateau. The decorative village, with its  historical centre features the  church tower of Kastelruth, one of the highest in South Tyrol, which can be seen from far away. An ascent of the Baroque tower, up 325 wooden steps, offers grandiose Dolomite views. Kastelruth is also famous as the hometown of the Kastelruther Spatzen, a renowned folk music band. Kastelruth/Castelrotto leaves a mark for its history and architecture and is therefore represented by "I Borghi più belli d'Italia" - Italy's most beautiful towns - an association that aims at valorizing small towns' historical and artistic value.
