Ascent: From Ried across the valley floor to the wooden bridge. Cross it and walk up to the right of the stream over a steep hollow below the Steinhof. Above the fence on the left, flat above the stream into the valley until you reach a path. Cross this to the right and continue along the road. From there, take the forest road into the Valtigltal valley. Where the path loops to the left, you can take a shortcut just to the right of the stream. You come to a shallow open valley. Go straight in to the right of the stream until you reach the alpine pasture Valtiglalm (1741 m , where the valley is closed off by a rock bar. Go up to in front of the rock bar and to the right of it up a slope that becomes narrower and narrower towards the top and ends at the exit of a gorge on the left. You now cross to the left along the ridge until you reach a small alpine hut on the now flatter ground. You now walk out a few hollows until you reach the alpine pasture Entholzer Alm (2039 m), which you leave on the left. Climb up a moderate slope to a knoll, then swing out to the right under the steep summit slope, keeping to the right, up to the summit cross.
