The Reichenbach apartment offers you and your family or friends 2 spacious double rooms, a stylishly furnished living room, a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen (induction stove, microwave, oven, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, blender, washing machine, SodaStream, pizza oven, crepes plate and much more). Weather permitting, you can have breakfast and dinner on our new terrace. In the summer months you can enjoy the heated outdoor pool and relax in the garden. Both bedrooms and the living room have their own flat screen TV with satellite reception. The apartment has its own free WiFi and a workspace in case you need to take a break from your vacation.
Finally, after an exciting and eventful day, you can relax on the inviting, quiet terrace and end the evening in style with a glass of South Tyrolean wine, perhaps combined with the typical speck platter.

Or you can explore Merano and the surrounding area in the evening and sample the various culinary delights, which, thanks to the inversion cuisine of traditional "South Tyrolean" style and Mediterranean influence, lead to a unique culinary experience. South Tyrol is currently experiencing an exciting upheaval in its traditional cuisine with more and more highly trained chefs with a great deal of creativity. This can be seen in the kitchen and wine cellar.
Agi will be happy to give you hiking tips and of course we will inform you about the various cultural and culinary highlights of the week. We personally particularly like the beautiful crystal-clear mountain lakes from prehistoric glacial times that we come across on our hiking tours, as well as the famous romantic Lake Kaltern. You can reach Lake Garda in just 1.5 hours.
You stay in the villa district of Merano, a 12-minute walk from the city center. In 100 meters you reach the picturesque Sissi path and walk in the footsteps of Empress Elisabeth. The Maiser Waalweg is just a stone's throw away. Reichenbach Castle, Rundegg Castle and Rottenstein Castle (summer residence of the Liechtenstein royal family) are in the immediate vicinity. The nearby Trauttmansdorff Castle with its international gardens is well worth a visit. It is also home to the Touriseum, which takes a refreshing look at the history of tourism in the region. Speaking of museums: Merano offers a whole range of them (Kunsthaus, Stadtmuseum, Frauenmuseum ...) and you can marvel at the world-famous ice mummy, Ötzi, in the nearby town of Bolzano.
Perhaps you would like a hearty "Mittog" or dinner or a wine tasting? You can walk to Rametz Castle, where mature wines await tasting and the private wine museum invites you to take a tour. If you prefer a more leisurely stroll, you can walk from the Obermais district, where the Reichenbach vacation apartment is located, over the stone Roman bridge to the Powder Tower and stroll along the Tappeinerweg, which was laid out by spa physician Dr. Tappeiner around 1900. All public transport within South Tyrol - trains and buses as well as some public cable cars - are free for you with the Merancard. You can safely leave your car in our parking lot.
In winter, you can reach the valley station of the Merano 2000 ski area in 5 minutes by car or bus, while other ski areas such as Schwemmalm in Val d'Ultimo, the small but beautiful Pfelders in Val Passiria, Reinswald in Val Sarentino or the snow-sure Val Senales glacier are around 40 to 60 minutes away.
We are particularly keen to minimize our energy footprint. We achieve this by combining a photovoltaic system, heat pump and storage batteries. We have a saltwater pool as we are not really convinced by chlorine. We use the rainwater tank to water our idyllic garden.
