Holiday Residence Sonngart - apartments and rooms with bed & breakfast Our welltended family owned business is situated on a sunny unspoiled hillside at the local centre of "Mitterplars", some 5 minutes walking distance from "Mühlbach Centre". It is surrounded by orchards which are partly cultivated by our family. Our house is an ideal starting point for hikes, such as the "Lagundo Watercourse Hiking Trail". Two bus routes close to our house (200 metres) will bring you to Merano or the surrounding villages within a few minutes. To bring you the Texel Group National Park, from where you can start marvelous mountain tours, you have the option to use the "Chair Lift Lagundo-Velloi", which is also in the immediate vicinity of our house.

About the region

Meran and environs region is full of surprising contrasts. In spring, you can ski in the morning on the Schnalstal glacier and cycle through apple orchards in the afternoon. While the peaks are still white, you can sit in the sun among palm trees and arcades along the Passer river. The mild climate, protected by the Texel group, fosters diverse and lush nature. The gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle showcase the elegance of yesteryear, alongside the thermal baths and Belle Époque buildings. The valleys around Meran are full of paths, waterfalls and traditions, just waiting to be discovered. And if you love horses, a ride on a Haflinger is the way to go.
