The historic Gurtenhof estate with organic farming in Tisens, located between Merano and Bolzano, offers four stylishly restored holiday apartments, each with its own style and charm. Guests have access to the Katharinenstube with its library and open fireplace, a Törggelekeller with natural stone walls for a glass of wine, a nostalgic children's playroom for the little ones and a romantic garden for relaxing and enjoying breakfast. In addition, the whole family can visit the outdoor swimming pool in Tisens free of charge every day. You will find relaxation in our alpine wellness oasis with herbal sauna, hay beds and power trees. The Gurtenhof estate is the ideal accommodation for hikers, cyclists (Bed and Bike certified establishment) and families who like to holiday far away from the tourist trails. Tisens is located in the low mountain range between Bolzano and Merano, surrounded by orchards, mixed forests, castles and palaces. A recommendation for anyone seeking peace and quiet without compromising on style, individuality and a certain level of luxury.

About the region

Meran and environs region is full of surprising contrasts. In spring, you can ski in the morning on the Schnalstal glacier and cycle through apple orchards in the afternoon. While the peaks are still white, you can sit in the sun among palm trees and arcades along the Passer river. The mild climate, protected by the Texel group, fosters diverse and lush nature. The gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle showcase the elegance of yesteryear, alongside the thermal baths and Belle Époque buildings. The valleys around Meran are full of paths, waterfalls and traditions, just waiting to be discovered. And if you love horses, a ride on a Haflinger is the way to go.
