Since the 16th century, many forests were under the Tyrolean sovereignty. In those forests, the “Herrensteig” paths were created. Experience the impressive circular hiking tour “Herrnsteige”, with spectacular views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Geisler Mountains of Villnöss/Funes valley.
The farmers trail is the former connecting route between Coll and the village centre of St. Peter and was used by the farmers to get to school and to church. The historic farms, the picturesque chapels and wayside shrines and the majestic pale mountains, the Odle, will enchant you.
The trail around Mount Sas de Putia leads through a diverse and magnificent landscape. Rugged rock, vast meadows. A flora rich in species and colours. Inside puddles you can find Alpine newts, in areas with mountain pines you can find chamois and marmots hide between rocks. The canyon of stream Moibach gives an insight into the layers of the era before the Dolomites formed.
