An easy and varied hike which leads past the locality where Geodes of Teis are found and past the churches of St. Valentin and St. Jakob. Along the way, there is one restaurant where you can eat.
• Hiking time: 3h 40min • Trail numbers: 11, sun trail (symbol: sun), 30, 30A • From the village centre of Teis (963 m), follow trail no. 11 passing by above the parish church. After a 15-minute-hike you reach the demonstration mine (990 m) where you can see how the Geodes of Teis are found. Continue on trail no. 11, passing by the farm Miglanzhof (1083 m), until you reach the church of St. Valentin (1303). Turn left onto the sun trail and hike up to St. Jakob (1292 m). Follow the asphalted and quiet road (no. 30) which leads to the farms Jochhöfe (1320 m) where you can take a rest at the restaurant "Jausenstation Moar". Afterwards, return to trail no. 30 which takes you to the cross Jochkreuz (1370 m) and follow trail no. 30A to return to Teis.
Through the Eisacktal/Valle Isarco valley to Klausen/Chiusa; turn into Villnöss/Funes valley and drive to Mittermühl. Turn left and continue to Teis.
