We start at the Haslhof farm above Göflan and hike on leisurely paths through meadows and forests, past the coal fields to the Göflaner Alm, where we stop for a bite to eat. Covelano marble is quarried above this mountain pasture. We then descend to the village of Tarnell above Laas. The bus picks us up again there. The famous Lasa marble, which comes from the same mountain as the Covelano marble, is processed in Lasa. A variety of medicinal plants, wild, flowering and aromatic herbs thrive in the mountain herb garden at the "Wiesenhof" in Pawigl. During a guided tour of the show garden, you will learn how they are used and what effect they have on the human body. In addition to medicinal teas, tinctures and ointments, these valuable natural resources can be used to make tasty wild herb delicacies, which you can enjoy with the group after the tour. On a guided exploration walk through the vineyards with winemaker Michl, you will learn everything knowing about wine: from its history and cultivation to grape varieties and marketing. At the end of the tour, you can taste South Tyrolean wines and discover the aromas and flavors of the region. The guided tour will be in German.

More than 60 vintage tractors, including 40 "Porsche-Diesel" tractors and 5 Porsche-Diesel Master tractors from various years of construction, can be viewed in the tractor museum. The oldest piece in the collection is a "Balilla" tractor dating from 1929. An experience for young and old! Please note: the guided tour is only available in German and Italian!

From the Gigglhirn in St. Walburg/Ultental, we hike along an ascending forest path, accompanied by the rushing of the Wildbach stream, to the Marschnellalm, the highest alpine pasture in the valley. E-Bike Tour – Freiberg - Merano Our Freiberg Tour begins in Algund. From there we ride along the signposted cycle track into Merano. In the spa town we ride along various side streets in the old town and soon reach the cycle track that leads into the Passeier Valley. At Lazag we leave the cycle track and reach the lovely Merano district of Obermais, from where we cycle in the direction of St. Georgen as far as Goyen Castle. Next we cross the Naif Valley and reach the Freiberg, where a fabulous view of Merano awaits us. We then cycle along Panoramastrasse to the Rauthof wine tavern, where we take a well-deserved break. The return journey is via a lovely route back down into Merano and then on to Algund. Participation at own risk. Difference in altitude: 650 metres

The sensation of cold water, walking barefoot on various surfaces, breathing and mindfulness exercises are just a few elements you will experience on this journey through the teachings of Kneipp. Together with Christine, a Kneipp and mindfulness trainer, the hike begins at the Algund Tourism Association with a cold arm bath. Afterwards, she will lead you to the "Grabbach-rivulet" where your feet will come in touch with the ice-cold water. Targeted exercises stimulate circulation and promote blood flow. Then, you will continue barefoot to the Blumenthalerhof, where you will once again come into contact with ice-cold water in a large Kneipp basin. Maria, the host, will surprise you with a healthy herbal lemonade and a snack made from fresh herbs. A day for you and your well-being awaits, and you will notice that the interplay between nature and water has an immensely soothing effect on the body.

Sonia, a passionate pastry chef from Postal, invites you into her pastry shop. You can watch her at work and give her a hand in the production of homemade ice cream. Sugar and eggs, milk and cream, fruit and flavourings are ready to be transformed into the most delicious of summer creations. With exquisite marzipan, you can shape simple figures. The preparation of filled biscuits concludes your afternoon in Sonia's pastry shop. And as a reward, there's a scoop of your favourite ice cream to enjoy. Have you ever seen the inside of a power station? Did you know how water becomes electricity? In South Tyrol, the Passeiertal Valley and especially the Hinterpasseier Valley is one of the valleys with the most water. For this reason, more than 22 power stations for sustainable energy production have been built in the Hinterpasseier Valley for about a century. One of the oldest is the power station in Rabenstein, which you can visit and explore. The guided tour offers unique insights into the power station and shows how water converted into electricity. The guided tour will be in German and Italian.

Traditional Bread Baking at the Tholer Farm The South Tyrolean kitchen is characterised by well-preserved old traditions. Elisabeth and Ernst of the Tholer farm let you sneak a peek behind the curtains and reveal to you their recipe for the traditional Paarl bread. Together you prepare the rye dough, form the bread and bake it in the old stone stove. You learn interesting facts about the rye cultivation and local baking tradition, and receive a recipe and some bread to take with you.

We start in the beautiful mountain village of Pfelders in Val Passiria/Passeiertal and hike on a somewhat steep path over serpentines to the rustic Schneidalm (approx. 1 ½ hours), always with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. We spend our lunch break here and enjoy the peace and quiet. We then hike along the Lazinser Steig into the valley and descend comfortably to Lazins and back to the starting point via Zeppichl. Every year in August, a particularly large number of shooting stars flit across the night sky. From 11 to 147th of August, the so-called "Perseids" reach their peak this year. This is also the case on Tuesday, 12th August and the Knottnkino cinema in Vöran is the ideal place to keep an eye out for the "lucky charms". Bring a picnic blanket, listen to pleasant sounds and enjoy some tasty snacks ... Members of the South Tyrolean amateur astronomers "Max Valier" will also be there, with telescopes and interesting stories to tell about the night sky. Photographs and videos may be taken at the event for the purpose of documenting and promoting the event and the area. The recordings may be used and published on websites, in social networks and in the media in compliance with data protection regulations.

We start at the parking lot by the 'old sawmill' and hike steadily upwards to the Freiberger Alm and further to the Latschiniger Alm, with a beautiful view of the Texel Group. After a break, the path descends slightly along the mountain path to the Marzoner Alm. From here, we take a short route back to the parking lot. Discover the story of the South Tyrolean apple in Merano! This apple tour of Merano's fruit cooperative CAFA will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about our local fruit. After a short introductory film, you can explore the entire cooperative in the company of our apple expert Franz and follow the storage, sorting, packaging and shipping of the South Tyrolean apple. Our apple expert will let you in on all kinds of secrets about our apples' goodness, the varieties and how best to store them at home. To round off the tour there is a brief apple tasting session. Fresh mountain air, plenty of free range and GMO-free feeding ensure that the pigs at the Obertimpflerhof farm in Vöran feel completely at ease. ‘That's the secret to the outstanding quality of our meat,’ says farmer Franz with conviction. This is processed into delicious bacon and sausage products using traditional methods on the farm. Afterwards we take the "Hahnl" with us and here we start the descent to the "Waalerhütte" and return to the car park via the Ulfaser/Matatzer Waalweg. Starting from the village center, the nature and landscape enthusiast Martin leads you along a trail that winds through quiet streets, passing by the Cantina Merano Winery and several other local wineries. Along the way, you’ll encounter informative panels about the history and culture of wine, as well as larger-than-life winegrowing constructions. This approximately 1, ½ -hour walk concludes with a wine tasting at a local winery in Marling or the Cantina Merano Winery in Marling. Guided by a winemaker or cellar master, you’ll enjoy a selection of local wines paired with a traditional “Marendbrettl” (South Tyrolean snack).
